🤓☝️Yeah but in the filming the camera does have a direction and it showed the death star the other way around, and since this model is placed on earth and not space, it has a correct up direction, which does not match the movie Cool build tho
I was expecting some typical Star Wars books between this incredible build, but instead there’s Dickens, Cervantes and Dostoyevsky! Classic authors, classic Boylei!! Love this build so much!
I like how he hasn’t over saturated he’s content with wild imaginary west. Those are usually my favourite videos from him, but It’s nice that he keeps his content fresh.
This is actually the first time I recognise the bits and tools forming the word "Boylei" at the beginning of the video. Oh my... Great project! I love the moving lights.
Though your Wild Imaginary West is my favorite, I also like it when you come up with these unusual, "off-the-wall" projects that take everyone by surprise! Thanks for sharing this with us, and thanks for the head's up for the next two weeks! Enjoy your well-earned time off, and I'll check out some of your earlier works - assuming there are still any that I haven't already seen . . . . My Like is in the 1.2Ks
There is no up or down in space. The Death Star only has one direction it can shoot. It would need to rotate constantly to identify new targets and be able to hit them in the 3 dimensions of space. They're not sitting on top of an ocean, there is no horizon, and there is no up or down. Commentors acting like the death star is "upside down" are weird This looks great as always!
This is an amazing piece of art! I find it so soothing and entertaining to sit back and watch and listen to your narration of the construction steps. The range of your talent is staggering. All the mediums you work with from plastic to wood to styrofoam etc, the amount of techniques you have mastered, painting, sculpting, soldering, creating custom electronic diagrams for lighting sequences, it's just amazing. Best of all is your artist's eye. Your finished products are among the most beautiful on RUclips. You asked about favorite builds, I believe mine is the piece you made to celebrate the 20th anniversary of The Two Towers - Frodo at the edge of the marsh, staring down at the elf corpse in the water. I used a video downloading app to acquire my own copy of that build that I can watch even during a net outage. I have enjoyed many re-watches of that episode.
5:54 trippy optical illusion looks like you have the planet convex side out while painting the orange. Could not tell my brain otherwise! Great project!
Be an interesting project to upcycle some already-ruined books; Burn a hole through the centre to align with the laser, maybe add some explosions and debris on either end
Amazing bookends! 😍 The first mech wagon you build whenexpanding your imaginary west is still one of my favourite videos of all time! Watch it from time to time just because it is such an ispirstional video😊
Another lovely treat as always, Caleb. Taking time away from projects/work is definitely needed to keep your creative spark alive and avoiding burnout, so I'm happy you're taking that initiative for yourself! I'm actually taking the next week off of work myself to focus SOLELY on my art ventures, which I am extremely excited for. I love each of your videos, but if I had to give a "favorite" title to any of them, it'd be the Nail Salon office from Better Call Saul. I'd love to see even more dioramas from you focused on other shows/movies like that. It's a nice change of pace from the usual fantastic fantasy or sci fi we usually see in the hobby space.
I remember finding this channel when he was just starting a patreon with like 15-20,000 subscribers or so. Now our Colorado dude is straight up flexing with that roll down credit scene amount of supporters. I live in Denver, and hope to see your next publicly displayed piece :)
Enjoy the break! Your channel started me down the path to diy hobby addiction. I’ve now taken up warhammer and have incorporated your take on the wacky Wild West by having my guard army themed around the western aesthetic. Much love from the UK
Hello. I'v been watching your channel for 4 years now and I want to say thank-you. You've been very inspirational to me. I was wondering if you could start a series where you do diorama's that most schools assign to students. One that I was thinking about was the Alamo. Again, and Icant emphasize this enough, THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😀😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃
Never a bad time to sit back with a drink and enjoy some Boylei content. Love your stuff~ Edit: For better star visibility at night I wonder about making the bases hollow, painting in B2.0, poking/drilling small holes, then using twinkling LEDs inside to backlight said stars. This looks amazing, but as you mentioned their visibility in the dark it made me wonder. I'd try it myself were I even a remotely crafty person 😂
Excellent build! I've been in a Star Wars mood lately and this hit just right. Hope you get lots of relaxation over the next couple of weeks! Excited to see what you come up with when you come back!
I'm going off of intuition, and it shows. I didn't end up with something as planety as I would have liked but it kinda looks like a planet, from a distance and when the lights are off. Such humility😂!!! (Usually Mr. Perfection) Two Weeks😮?!!! What ever will we do?!!! Have fun!!!❤ And if you get where you are having so much fun that you don't want to come back for another while, 😢we'll😢understand😢!
Happy vacation!!! That looks beautiful, the woodgrain is perfect to offset the space effect! (And I swear I heard “Gluesticks to that!” So that will be my new exclamation of outrage.) 😆
Very cool! You can't go wrong with a Star Wars build, regardless of the guy who says the Death Star is upside down. Direction is arbitrary in space!!!
its upside down
🤓☝️Yeah but in the filming the camera does have a direction and it showed the death star the other way around, and since this model is placed on earth and not space, it has a correct up direction, which does not match the movie
Cool build tho

Fits like a charm and works like a glove are now never going to leave me and I will not be hearing the end of it
The light sequence matching... Chef's Kiss
But how???
@@streganona5544probably has separate power and he timed it that way.
The way you had gotten it to sync up perfectly between both ends is just perfect.
I was expecting some typical Star Wars books between this incredible build, but instead there’s Dickens, Cervantes and Dostoyevsky!
Classic authors, classic Boylei!! Love this build so much!
Making a diorama bookend is on my list of projects for 2025! Stunning work!
I like how he hasn’t over saturated he’s content with wild imaginary west. Those are usually my favourite videos from him, but It’s nice that he keeps his content fresh.
I love every video, calms me down
The stars on the black 4.0 look incredible. Thank you for this great video. Enjoy your time off.
Enjoy your break!! And don't burn yourself out! I have always really appreciated your art and look forward to more of it!!
Love the black 4.0 as space. Works wonderfully.
This is probably my favorite functional display
I enjoy your star wars builds the most.
For someone who like to get many books, this looks awesome!
Can't get enough of these star wars themed builds
These are amazing! Seriously. I'm not even a huge Star Wars fan and I would have these on the shelf.
This is actually the first time I recognise the bits and tools forming the word "Boylei" at the beginning of the video. Oh my...
Great project! I love the moving lights.
So cool how you got the lights synced. Enjoy your vacation!
This is probably my favourite , so simple yet so outstanding
This is my other favorite. Yes both are star wars. It's my age. Great work!
I don't even like Star Wars, and I think this is fascinating. Great job!
Yes, another awesome Star Wars project. Have a good vacation, sir. We will be waiting here when you come back.

as I watched this I thought "ya know I wonder what he'd charge the that" would be great to add to my star wars collection. May the Force be with you.

The Death Star has an up and it has a down. It's built like a skyscraper, just round. It is upside down.
@@simonseis744 It wouldn't effect the gravity inside the station so it doesn't matter.
They're probably flat earthers
This is my favorite project of yours. It different than anything I've seen for bookends, and come on it's a death star!

Enjoyed the sneaky little addition of the Orion constellation around 5:26 :D
didn't notice 😅
Glow in the dark paint would be awesome for the background stars for it when in darkness
I love to see your content. Super calming and gives me a chuckle now and then. Enjoy your break!
Bookends are the next thing I want to get into! This video is my most recent favorite.
I absolutely love the way it looks
Most creative book end I seen!
Still epic bookends regardless of "accuracy". 😉 love this!
5:54 trippy optical illusion looks like you have the planet convex side out while painting the orange. Could not tell my brain otherwise!
Great project!
It took me a while but I see it now 😂
Enjoy your time off. Thanks for sharing your work.
This is my favorite project you have done, I’ve been looking for good bookends for all the Star Wars books and this is a great idea
This bookend was another favorite!
Love the way they turned out.
I actually just realized I needed some bookends for the first time in my life last weekend..
Love the starwars builds
Enjoy your time off! I've always been impressed with your ability to put out a new video every week that is so inspiring
Your cool projects make me want to learn how to work with led lights. 🤯❤️ Epic!
Awesome project! I hope no books were ruined as the blast went through them. Great effect!!
Be an interesting project to upcycle some already-ruined books; Burn a hole through the centre to align with the laser, maybe add some explosions and debris on either end
Your star wars projects always hit different my friend 10/10 as always!
The stars look really nice, like they're glowing.
To go with the Lightsaber video, I think this is my favorite video.

Great work, as always. The stars turned out so beautiful. Enjoy your time off, you've earned it!
This was SO cool! Enjoy your time off.
One of my favorites you have made! Made my wife some Never Ending Story bookends not to long ago
Think this is my fave video so far, love the star wars vids
Boylei + Star wars = why I am here. YES!
Favourite build for sure 👌

This was one of my favorite builds from you this year, definitely want to make a sick bookended like this someday myself!
Hope you have a lovely, relaxing, and safe time off.
It feels illegal to be this early, I love all your dioramas!
The Early Police wrote you a ticket for excessive earliness yesterday.
Enjoy your break. Love all your builds and videos. Keep them coming. Thank you for all the inspiration.
wasn't sure how good it would be with a pulsing beam, but in the showcase you managed to get it synced up really nice, and it looked amazing.
My favorite is the failed resin pour on the old man and the sea diorama
Wow! awesome content. Keep it up!
definitely my favourite routine, I wake up and take my morning coffee while watching your vídeos, such a great work!
I need these for my son's nursery lol. Raising him right!
i discovered this channel through the ship battle build, and have now been watching every week for over a year! :)

I really liked the pod racer dioramas everyone was doing for a while.
hope you get some good rest in those two weeks. you put out amazing work so often and it is a well deserved break.

Your work is incredible and very helpful. Keep Modelin.
Amazing work !
Hards to select only one fave video from the whole collection, but I'd probably go with "Huge Spooky Mine Diorama" 😁
very very cool!! your skills are mind boggling!! the laser beam/ support tube mount was brilliant, well done!! enjoy your vacation- you've earned it!!

That black 4.0 with the stars is really messing with my eyes. Super cool effect!
Very nice mate of work 👍👍
Insane. Love it.
That is GREAT! Always loved "book end" displays like that.
