For example, no composer or writer with 2 working neurons would put the titles of the expansions so blatently into the lirics.
they allude to them, modify them to integrate them more naturally.
the only time an expansion is nominated into the game lyrics is Heavensward, but we have to also say that the heavensward is a real thing into the game.

English is not my nativ language, maybe that's the reason it feels odd for you, the next time we can create a song in German, which would be much easier for me 😁. Really incredible, this in my opinions shows how AI can be properly used to create quality content and not cheap stuff. As scary AI advancement can look I do believed when is well used in unison by creative hands or artists can lead to some truly incredible results and this is one of them

I feel like I should give you some feedback on the AI situation here... because a LOT of people will just express their emotions on the issue and not everybody understands WHY it upsets so many people.
I want to first say: The work *YOU* put in on this was good. You put out something enjoyable. People aren't going to express hate towards you for that. It's not as though what you produced here just was spat out by a machine and then you released it. You put in some efforts too, and you should feel proud of the work you did.
The problem lies with the work you *didn't* put in. The lyrics and vocals and instrumentals weren't created by human hands (or mouths, or brains). This means that you COULD have partnered with a song writer... and they could've got paid for the work they did. You COULD have partnered with a person who can sing, a person who can play guitar, bass, keyboard, etc... and they could've got paid for the work they did. Professional or amateur, humans could have put their effort into making these lyrics and instrumentals and received money, recognition, praise for what work they put in. The same as you should for what work you put in.
In other words, AI stole the work from humans. People take a lot of issue with that.
But that's not the full problem. It's not just that you used a tool to make it easier to produce your vision. When new tools are created, new technologies, that will happen. It's expected.
But with AI, what's important is how the tools themselves were created, how they work.
ChatGPT functions because it was trained on real human conversations with machine learning. It doesn't understand language or the meaning behind words. It doesn't come up with its own original ideas. It just mimics human conversation based on what has been shoved into it's language model without actually understanding what it is saying.
The same is true of Udio. It's a machine learning model that used music made by real human musicians, who've spent years perfecting their craft and built careers off their music, in order to mimic what it's been trained on. There has been a lot of concern that Udio was trained on copyrighted music - this is basically intellectual property theft, if true.
And Udio doesn't know what sounds good. It doesn't know what good music sounds like. It doesn't understand the lyrics or musical notes it puts out. It doesn't understand what it's producing. It's just mimicry and following command prompts.
It's also worth noting that anything generated by AI cannot be copyrighted. Copyright requires human authorship. So, right now, anybody can take THIS music that you produced and use it for whatever they want, without giving you any credit or money, and there's nothing you can do about it.
So this whole situation isn't just bad for the artists that are being replaced by AI, it's also bad for you, who is using AI as a tool to create things like this.
I'm not going to say you should stop doing it. I mean... I could say it, but that wouldn't stop you, and it would just be my opinion. If you had fun doing it, and people enjoy what you put it, why shouldn't you continue, right? Why let someone on the internet stop you?
I'm merely trying to provide you with some context in the hopes that you reconsider your use of AI going forward - because the backlash you get for using AI isn't ever going to just go away, and I want you to understand that people aren't just blindly hating you. People aren't just trying to bully you, nor does this come from jealousy. They have real reasons to be upset about what you're doing and most people only know how to express their feelings about something.

these arguments, are not new for me. And each of these arguments can be countered with a counter-argument. There are several Posting and debates about this topic and there will be always ppl. who will follow the agenda to be against development in this field. But I don't want to start a new discussion about the use of AI.
I was always honest about the fact that AI tools were used from the beginning. Both the music and the lyrics were reworked and adapted by me, it was my vision and I used AI tools to help with the realization. It took about 500 generations and parts to put the song together.
The AI tool used my lyrics that I created and I customized the result so that I had the end result I wanted. I created all the artwork for the song, as well as the video.
I work in the IT sector, the area of work that was the first to be replaced by AI in many areas of day-to-day work. But nobody seems to have a real problem with it. People are adapting to new situations and working with it. Only in the field of art there seems to be a small but very loud group of people who really believe that AI will end their world without questioning the situation, improving it or accepting that the world is changing.
it seems that AI is only accepted as long as it does not affect your own work. But AI is since 10-15 years everywhere. And Nobody cares.
AI will change the world for everyone, not just artists. Most people will get used to it. The fear that AI will replace every job in the arts or creative industries is just silly. Really good artists will always stand out and find their place in any environment.
And yes, I think I am an artist too. I have several skills in creating music, art or videos. For me, AI is just another tool with which I can express my creativity.
I would like to add that everyone criticises me for not using real singers and instruments. I already said that this would be a dream for me, but I currently have neither the time nor the resources to realise such a big project.
My goal was never to make money with this work, I just want to share a small part of my joy and passion for FFXIV with the best community out there. There are certainly many other and better musicians and artists out there who would be able to produce something better and maybe I can encourage more people to create something with my work. I have made the score public so that anyone can take the song, change it or cover it and I hope that eventually there will be a live version of this song.
Thank you for your feedback, but I am aware of the controversy. In fact, I struggled to even post the video because I was afraid of the backlash from this small group of people who were fuelling the controversy.

There are many amazing musicians and singers withen the ffxiv fan base. you could've easily gotten at least a real singer for this.
Indeed a live version with real singers and instruments would be a dream and if there are people out there with the ability to cover it or get the inspiration to do it into a "real" version we would be more than happy

It's AI voice and instruments, I had this kind of style and voice in mind when we created the song. Nightwish was a big inspiration for me.

This would be such an amazing song... if it was sung by a real person. AI should not replace/take away work from the many hundreds of wonderful FFXIV content creators that would have probably love to work on such an amazing project. I will not say I understand what the thought processes in designing this was as I am just a random person on youtube with no creative capacity whatsoever. I am certain you did put quite a bit of work into this but I cannot condone it... please, find an actual content creator to sing this for you and I am sure it will be incredible...

There are hundreds of ff14 content creators who are big into singing. Literally could throw a dart at the people who sung during those big ff14 music bash they did for soken and itd be better then being a lazy person and using AI that is built upon work that was no doubt never consented to being used by an AI that knows no real creativity. The Song is inspired by Symphonic Metal Bands like Nightwish, Epica, Rhapsody of Fire and many more. It is also influence by Folk Metal ( Ensiferum, Eluveitie... ) But there is no particular band or song. 🎸
