Bought it 18 months ago and forgot where I had put it. Found it today and just happened had to cut 3 inch x 3 inch piece of timber well went through like hot knife through hard butter. I will not use my hand saws very much.Thrilled to bits so it wasn't money wasted. Highly recommend it. Diy man.
Thanks for the review. I noticed at the end you mention to avoid the weaker one, which is a 4 amp 400 watt version. That's a good point. The 700 watt version is currently not available on amazon.
Thank you so much because I did not know what to do with the metal cutting blade because I could not find what came with it I don't think anything came with this particular saw so I had to go find the washers like you said thank you very much
0:19 so many questions about the plexiglass… I thought if you cut fast then the plexiglass will be more prone to chipping and cracking? What blade is this? I thought the more teeth the better but I seem to have trouble finding small blades with lots of teeth. Can you cut plexiglass vertically like you did with the wood? I kind of have a project that needs me to do that right now…
@@tylerl4472 I suppose if you push through the cut too quickly, it's more likely to crack, likely with thinner material. It's a Diablo blade, I linked it in the description. It's fantastic, great for plywood as well, except for the fact I warped mine a bit so I can't use it with a straight edge. Do you mean to do a plunge cut? What are you trying to do?
There are basically three categories of these mini saws which can overwhelm people in choosing one. 1. Mini Circular Saws with 4-1/2" blades from WORX, Rockwell etc... - The only type with a blade large enough to cut through 2x4 2. Plunge Cut aka Versacut Saws with 3-3/8" blades from WORX, Rockwell, Rotorazer Saw etc... - Good at plunge cuts, but blade is not large enough to cut through 2x4 3. Dremel Ultra/Max Saws with 3-1/2" blades - Again blade is not large enough to cut through a 2x4, but its extremely high rpm and proprietary serrated blades makes it easy to do straight cuts and plunge cuts with zero gap between flooring and door trim molding.
Ive been happy with several Works tools including an electric chain saw, but I got an earlier model of this one and it had absolutely no guts. Gave it away and figured they where all weak. Perhaps I was wrong. Should have gotten this one as they are very light weight. Making my own from a 4.5 grinder. so far so good. its designed for running a 5.5 in. blade and hauling around on a ladder or roof. The 5.5 blade will almost make it thorough a 2x4 that was my goal. First trial today, the blade dose not bog down, and no burning with a new blade. I should be able to cut tile with a 4.5 blade in it. Probably worth 150.00 In time, parts were cheap. Still glad I mad the darn thing.
I have the Rockwell model. I like its compact size. But it has a spring loaded baseplate forcing you to push down on the saw to its depth of cut. I ended up jambing the base plate at the max cut position. I rarely use it because of this.
I've seen those. What's the point in having the depth or cut adjustable, just for plunge cuts? Maybe you could remove the springs and zip tie it. I saw Rockwell also sells this exact saw BTW.
@@Yonatan24 What is the model number of yours? I couldn't find the exact look with yours under Worx. The closest one is Rockwell RK3441K or WORX WX427L.
I improved with a washer, but it's basically an adapter whose internal diameter is the diameter of the screw, and external diameter is the diameter of the internal diameter of the cutting disc. Some saws may come with one but mine didn't.
I’m not sure if you experience this design flaw: but on the Demel version that I have (SawMax), the lock lever for the base plate (black in your case) extends *past* the base plate effectively blocking, and making it impossible, to use a guide! You would need an extra long, paper thin, something-or-other to slide underneath the lock lever!!
Hi, thanks for the video. Can you tell what is this black angle grinder disc? And if is it safe to use angle grider discs for metal in this tool, even having adaptations for the smaller arbor? I have a worx mini saw (Wx 439) and there's no original blades to sell in my country.
Thank you, I just bought this tool, and have been cutting, wood, metal and tile, but I have seen people using angle grinder to do the same thing. I just wondering do you need angle grinder, if you have this saw? Also I seen people cleaning BBQ, polish car etc.. using angle grinder? What is your thoughts on the angle grinder?
First of all, you should never cut wood with an angle grinder. They use blades that's aren't able to handle such high RPM and can explode. It depends what you want to use it for. Ideally, you should use this saw for wood and thin metal since IMO it's the best at it. I've never used an angle grinder but it's probably the best to have both. It all depends on your needs.
Just got my WORX mini circular saw. Does anyone had problem with getting the blade to right angle. The saw blades are still slanted when i set them to 0 position.
You have a bolt for adjusting this next to the knob for adjusting the handle. Try zero-ing it against a known right angle as a reference. Hope this helps.

There are 400w saws that look VERY similar from the outside, but their motor is probably significantly weaker, and some don't come with a laser. Indeed, there's a 400w version of this saw as well. Careful not to exceed the max RPM the blade is rated for.

It's a standard disc you can get at any hardware store. It's unsafe to use without an adapter since it needs to be centered on the arbor to be used.
