  • Some sights and sounds from Cologne Cathedral during Easter 2015.
[00:08] The first scene comes from the end of the Saturday evening Easter Vigil. The organ music is the end of the Incantation pour un Jour Saint by Jean Langlais (1907 - 1991) played by cathedral organist, Winfried Bönig.
[03:08] The second shows scenes taken on Easter Sunday morning at the end of High Mass. The music is (I think) an improvisation by cathedral organist Winfried Bönig.

The organ(s) in the big church of Köln sound absolutely overwhelming. You HAVE to have experienced it. Absolutely impressive.

Improvisation sounds much like the Mulet, "Carillon Sortie."
Then for some reason, it launches into 'Three Blind Mice'...absolutely wonderful!
