I am South Korean, this is my first time to leave comment on youtube even with not good english. As I am catholic, I couldn't attend the mass for Easter in local church due to virus, but while watching this video and seeing lots of comments, I felt like being in Duomo church with all world people. I think this tough situation is heading the end, believe this will go away in near the future. Like other people watching this video, I pray all of world people suffering from virus have courage to overcome this situation. We can do it!

I’am a Nurse and one amongst the millions of frontliners who are braving this unseen and still untreatable virus. Me myself is fearing for my own health and afraid that I’ll catch the virus and bring home to my family, even with this fear my pledge to care for humanity gives me the courage to go and care for my patients. This music gives me goosebumps and reading the comment section!! I just recalled watching this concert two years ago with my wife. I'm pretty sure that there is another comment by me thanking Bocelli for doing this for the world. Seven days after this concert my wife died suddenly - not from Covid. This was the last concert we watched and listened to together. We were both scared for the world that day. I miss her terribly but I'm glad she heard this man's voice again that day. Like most of us, she loved his singing so very much. Gracias Andrea!

Bravo Bravo Bravo! It moved me so. My girlfriend is a nurse from the USA who flew there to take care of the Covid patients to help. She is in northern Italy and working the Covid tent overflow. She said she played this performance for her patients so they could hear it!! I know it will bring healing to them!! I too am an emergency room nurse here in the US but we are not seeing what Italy and NY have seen, God Bless them all on this Holy Day. God pray for us all and get us thru this catastrophe soon please

Truly appreciate and enjoy it, even though I'm a Muslim but seeing empty churches during the Easter services all over the world is breaking my heart, and we Muslims are days away from Ramadan and as someone who misses the mosque so much, I can truly feel the agony of this moment of empty services to every Christian worldwide!

The scene of him, a blind man standing forthrightly on sacred ground, singing his heart out, brought tears to my eyes. Though I am not a believer nor Italian speaker, the hymn resonates within my mind, bursts open all which clouded my thoughts. Perhaps he possesses sight far beyond us, and immesurable faith in world salvation.
In front of the largest cathedral in the centre of the epidemic zone, he stands, fragile but firm, against the invisible threat. His stance gives hope, gives strength and gives us a glimpse into our being as a simple dust in this wide, wide world.

Seeing such a huge artist perform just with an organist in one of the most beautiful churches in the world, on Easter day, with the current situation in the world is really not easy. I remember my travel in Italy. There were very impressive places in your country and nice landmarks including Milano Duomo. Though many Italians couldn't distinguish Koreans and some people screamed me to feel racism so I was really disappointed that moment, but it doesn't matter now. This is now the second Easter in lockdown here in Ontario Canada. I lost someone I love when against his wishes he was placed in a nursing home by his own adult children when the first wave of covid was at its height. The restrictions on visitors was inhumane IMO and due to Covid his death and burial lacked the loving attention he deserved. It is heartbreaking the effect this virus had and continues to have on innocent people all over the world. I just discovered this concert by accident and yesterday was Good Friday but lockdown here means no church even tomorrow which is Easter Sunday. I am overwhelmed by sadness but by the Grace of God I discovered this wonderful concert. The voice, integrity and passion that comes across every time Andrea performs brings peace to the broken-hearted and love to the soul. I agree, he is truly a gift from God and the peace and presence of your grandfather is so understandable as I feel the Easter miracle, even in 2021, in this concert is testament to the fact that we shall overcome. This concert calms my fears, rids me of malice and I can enjoy Easter Sunday with Mr. Bocelli alongside Jesus despite the closed church. May we all see the end to this virus soon, until then even after vaccination keep up the safety measures regarding, masks, hands and social distancing. So blessed to be able to enjoy this live performance from a different continent. Happy Easter Ally and may we all find our own comfort in the days ahead. Hopefully Easter 2022 will be Covid free.🙏✝️😷

On this sad, sad Easter Sunday when our world is closed, Bocelli's magnificent voice truly reminds us all of the things that are truly dearest of all - the love of God, love of family, love of fellowman.
And for him to sing "Amazing Grace" meant so much to me personally who remembers standing with my family in a little wooden white church in my middle Georgia hometown as a child in the 1930s with my father and mother touched me more deeply than imaginable.
That hymn cuts across all socio-economic barriers and is so beloved by many regardless of religious beliefs.
Thank you to those who produced this tribute today so the world again could pause and realize there is something greater than ourselves that inspires us to be better people.

I saw the beauty and stillness of your magnificent city. When I heard "Amazing Grace" tears began to flow not because it was sang in the language I knew but because I clearly felt the fellowship of this man as he sang . This was a wonderful performance, not only by Andrea but also by the organist. The organ was built in 1552 and made a beautiful backdrop for Andrea's amazing talent. The entire presentation was also amazing. They had him perform Amazing Grace outside in front of the Cathedral which is the largest in Europe. They then showed scenes from Paris, London and New York City. So see those famous landmarks WITHOUT ANY TRAFFIC was mind boggling! Let's hope and pray that this corona virus goes away quickly and we all have peace and joy as a result.

Stradivarius violins are well over 300 years old and still work just fine. I'd guess it's something about the way the wood is treated.
There are 5 organs in the Duomo. The last organ over hall was done in I believe 1938. Fabulous performance.

I visited Italy just before the pandemic. My Grandfather was from Barga. My sister met her husband in Italy when they were stationed there with the Navy.

Honestly, when I have enough money to take an international trip, Italy might be the first place I go. My first choice was usually England, but Italy has gone THROUGH it with this mess. And I live in NYC. I want to see this gorgeous country when this is all over.

A visit to Italy is unlike other places. After centuries it's still so deeply "itself" and that's wonderful. In fact, I've been to Milano and the Duomo. Even just strolling thru the plaza in front of it is a marvel. The people. I've said before that everyone looks like a model. I mean, regular people but beautiful somehow.
