You really are the best there is when it comes to this line of work Reg. Cool, calm, collected and ultra professional 👍. Great video, thank you very much 😀
I love this guy, typical northerner , crazily successful yet somehow a bit dour and a bit down in the dumps! Greetings from Belfast where we are kinda similar.
I know you are not one to video all your work, but as one of those sessel poopser`s, to old and know nothing about tree work, one`s like me enjoy watching a cool headed, knowledgable profi, just doing his job at minimum exspense for your company. Stay safe and film as much as possible, you keep us entertained and it brings back memories from the good old day`s in the wood`s falling.
Well done Reg. And thank you for taking the time to record some video and post it up for us to watch. I really do appreciate it. Watching you make hard work look easy is an encouragement to me to learn more and be a better climber. Thanks again and keep yourself safe! Randy
Another enjoyable vid Reg! You're really good at getting the good camera angles. I can't imagine taking the time to set cameras up when I'm so focused on the tree work. You really must be a very patient and focused person. We really are fortunate to have someone like yourself taking the time to help the rest of us get better at what we do. I for one really appreciate it. And let me tell you how much the RCW 3001 has helped with these uprooted and tornado damaged trees that we're cleaning up here in the southeast these past few weeks. Thanks again mate!
Morning Reg. I love your perfect execution of every job. Every detail taken into account. Great education in your explanation. And if I do say your mellowing in old age😂😂😉. But seriously bloody awesome. Be safe. 👊👊
Man that looks like a Picasso hahah good work like always man. Crazy you’ve been on here this long. I just watched horse chestnut removal from 11 years ago I remember watching it when you first out it out. Thanks for all the years of quality work I’ve learned allot from you reg.
For you to take out the time and draw that up to explain it to us is very much appreciated at least by me it is always have enjoyed you taking your time to explain things thank you very much!!
I truly appreciate your explanation of the job and your absolute mastery of your craft and your willingness to share. It is such a pleasure to watch. Be safe.
Hey reg thanks for the concideration of others... I'm a self employed tree surgeon in the uk and also got a young daughter so I've decided not to go back to work until its calms down, so thanks for the videos mate. Be safe
Thanks for sharing Reg, I see the idea of the friction hitch on the line now. The line doubles as a tag line or pull line for the groundie it seems.. Looked pretty smooth.
What a gorgeous property and a nice day to be in the tree. Im on the east coast of US and your job sites always look so different than anything around here. Thanks for the explanations of whats going on. I really like those prusik slings you use, great idea
Awesome design and rigging system. These big logs went off so smoothly, great job to preserve the other tree 👍 I only own a Port a wrap which is ok for most of the work I do but the Stein is definitely a nice piece of equipment. Thanks for sharing, stay safe and healthy
Your explication is so damn spot on helps the ground techs out a ton and shows us climbers how a true master does it keep up the good work and inspiring all of us viewers
Delicate work it seemed, loads of targets. Solid as always. Had a similar job where I span rigged between the 2 flanking trees to avoid swings and negative rigging. Glad to see u well. Thx for sharing.
Thanks Reg for the video. It seems like all of my jobs run longer than I expect them. I can always do them a lot faster in my head. I need to allow extra time for complications I guess. I am stuck at home. But it’s due to being down in the back. Not sure how long this will last but ,I hope it’s over soon. I appreciate the content while I am recuperating 👍🏻
Thank you Reg , i appreciate your explanation and time. Any videos you can send our way would be great, I think I’ve seen all your videos twice lol. Anyway thank you again. Peace out ✌️
Loved the video. Thank you for continuing to share with the world. How did you retrieve the rigging sling? I'm guessing a retrievable friction saver of some sort. Also, where was the rigging line tied to itself to form the loop? As long as the knot doesn't have to pass a rigging ring I guess it wouldn't matter much, but I wonder if you have a preference, and why. Thank you in advance if you should have time to answer.
Me=just bomb all that shit down, fill the hole with saw dust, and get to the next job. Great job taking all that extra consideration! I am always a little envious that you can afford to do everything so meticulously, if I had to do everything over again I would go minimal. Your company structure seems more enjoyable than running a larger operation and dealing with the added stress of more employees and more customers.
I think the winch on the RS3001 is a massively underrated piece of kit. The 3001 is proven and bomb proof. You add the winch when its needed. It works really well at a good price compared to expensive alternatives. Just saying :-)
We probably were able to take almost, if not all, the stretch out of the rope, which means he doesn't have to wrestle it off the stem, and doesn't have to worry about where it will bounce. I've done it without the winch plenty, and it is a lot more..... exciting.
Bravo. Give a small explanation and how the bollards work this might keep the younger people informed a little better thank you great video be well Reg
Did you take away all the large material as well? Any tricks you use for loading up the heavy stuff with just the two of you, or do you just cut and quarter everything?
This is awesome Reg! At the beginning of the video you mentioned using an infinity loop-style rigging situation, with one continuous line, but then it looks like the groundsman was running one end of the rope in each hand. If you had used an infinity loop, what knot would you have used to tie the ends together that would have fit through the X rings smoothly? Thank you!
Impressive work! Can’t believe you guys had everything chipped when your shooting the lowering of the logs.. do you come down to help chip? Thanks for sharing!
I came down for lunch after Id finished with the battery saw, but Aaron had kept on top if the chipping prior to that. No dragging so it was easy and quick to process
Good man Reg. Excellent rigging skills there and thanks again fir sharing. Hope ya don't mind me point out that at 17.35 ya sound like an Irish man 'i tought it'd be' (i deliberately left out the H as us Micks don't generally pronounce our TH's) ! We Look forward to the next video.
My Dad is Irish, Dublin. I have lots of family there. so there is an awkward, unconcious twang that surfaces at the oddest times. Anger often brings it out, Ive realised in hindsight
I saw a chipper, i think, off in the distance. Could you advise the make and model. I use to own a BC 1000, it was more than I needed( a lot more). I don't do large removals anymore, just pruning but stacking brush is a drag. I am just looking right now and would be interested in hearing your opinion. Very nice Video and we are back at work as of yesterday, here in Ontario.
It's a bandit 90. A little smaller than the BC1000, but not much in it. Both good machines, it's just that some people like Vermeer, others like Bandit. Like still and Husky
Not had one day off here in the midlands uk but I’m self employed so.... people have been keen to keep going which is ace, just no coffee and less chat
G'day reg, nice work looks complicated it's taken me three attempts to watch this vid , I think the broad band has been over loaded with all the people stuck at home in my area ATM first world problems at least they've got homes to be stuck in unlike so many poor souls .
On that piece of equipment what is the cranking power ratio please reg I like the rc1000 and the 2000 put it on a solid bone that idea should have been thought about a long time ago
You really are the best there is when it comes to this line of work Reg. Cool, calm, collected and ultra professional 👍. Great video, thank you very much 😀

Very impressive Reg your work positioning, climbing line and halyard are equipped is what I appreciate.
Cool method because the lowering line has dual purpose as the tag line to pull and direct the dangle 🏆
You think if you and Reg rolled up to a tree job together , the tree would just concede and fall on it's own?
@@nathanarievlis3985 Probably Nathan ;)
@@nathanarievlis3985 Reg is in a class above him.
Yes - I wish I had learned this earlier. Neat!
Thank you Reg. More tools for the tool box. I appreciate the work you put in the video. We have been going strong since the out break of crazy.
Well done Reg.
And thank you for taking the time to record some video and post it up for us to watch.

You're good Reg! Excellent help also. Great team

Hey reg thanks for the concideration of others... I'm a self employed tree surgeon in the uk and also got a young daughter so I've decided not to go back to work until its calms down, so thanks for the videos mate. Be safe
Hey he's back!
It means it's a good day when I can enjoy another video from this channel!
Much love from Canada. ✌♥️
Prussic on the lowering line to turn into tag line. Fantastic idea thx Reg. Ur the man.
Thanks for taking the time out of your day to make these videos Reg stay safe mate thanks 🇦🇺
Thanks for all the effort, Reg. And very nice job, as always 👍
That was a really good technique to take all of the possible shock loading and nasty suprises out of the roping. Great to watch!
That's really interesting work Reg, the rigging is key to such a smooth job👍🍻
Thanks for sharing Reg, I see the idea of the friction hitch on the line now. The line doubles as a tag line or pull line for the groundie it seems.. Looked pretty smooth.
You can also add several hitches at once to capture more limbs all in one set too
Congratulations on your victories at treestuff arborist choice video 👏👏👏
Glad you didn’t give up on the videos , still really enjoying them , take care
What a gorgeous property and a nice day to be in the tree. Im on the east coast of US and your job sites always look so different than anything around here. Thanks for the explanations of whats going on. I really like those prusik slings you use, great idea
Yes, good technique for rigging several limbs at once too
Awesome design and rigging system. These big logs went off so smoothly, great job to preserve the other tree 👍
I only own a Port a wrap which is ok for most of the work I do but the Stein is definitely a nice piece of equipment.

Thats a nice setup and worked really nice! And the sketching was also a nice feature!

Great job buddy u definitely are one of the best. Love ur vids
Delicate work it seemed, loads of targets. Solid as always. Had a similar job where I span rigged between the 2 flanking trees to avoid swings and negative rigging. Glad to see u well. Thx for sharing.
Great content, one thing I've noticed in almost all of your vids.... Smile more, your a good looking guy!!
Great work as always. No shortcuts. Proper planning and execution. 👏
Great rigging solution...appreciate your effort in sharing this with us Reg!

I've used loop rigging, works great. Thanks for posting the videos, I know it takes a lot of time and effort.
Excellent video. Well explained and carried out. Thanks for taking the time to do so.
Top work! Great idea with the dual purpose tag/rigging line. Never seen that before
Great job ! I just bought the rcw3001 and what a game changer compared to the portawrap. Built like a tank 👍
Thank you for sharing your time with us out here really appreciate it.
Watching someone as good as this is really a wonderful thing....
Id watch em' if they were an hour long....Im glad you're back making vids regular. Stay safe Reg..
Great job Reg! Thanks for sharing!
Your last statememt couldn't be more true!! Thanks for taking the time to make the video!!
Nice to see you employing all the tricks I taught ya, lol!
Looking at the drawing, it’s a pretty quick job, only 8-9 branches per tree 👌😂
Thanks Reg. Keep up the great work, hope you're well!
Loved the video. Thank you for continuing to share with the world. How did you retrieve the rigging sling? I'm guessing a retrievable friction saver of some sort. The rigging line is about 300', both ends in hands of ground guy. No loop. He climbed his rope to retrieve x-ring sling and untie his climb line.
I liked your thought process and please keep the videos coming
Thanks for shearing awsome work we ramping back up now in nz was shutdown for awhile
Best reality re-run i have ever watched.
Thanks for the video. Makes sitting at home enjoyable.
I appreciate the videos you put out,
Smooth as silk as always, nice clean and safe great job !
Very good rope work there! Good learning for me! Thanks
Thanks Reg do enjoy your videos 💪
Thanks for posting. Nice work as always.

amazing, I see you from Spain. good job. Congrats
Did you take away all the large material as well? Any tricks you use for loading up the heavy stuff with just the two of you, or do you just cut and quarter everything?
Ground guy has a wood stove. All cut into firewood rounds. His problem after that 😃
You're a cool dude, hope you keep posting videos.

You should probably put the drawing up for auction, Reg! I will start the bidding at $4.50
