This is true. It was an easier time for me, I always had this and since then I've lost so many people in my life and it just hurts, during the time I was hearing this song, they were still alive and its pretty much me being left alone. I wish I could go back and tell myself to enjoy it all, and bring them back somehow and bring back my innocence from back then.
I just cried thinking about my young days... I remember I used to stick with my mom the entire morning, she used to bring me to buy groceries with her and then we would go to the super-market to buy a VHS of Pokémon. We then would go back home, she would make me a sandwich and in the while I would be laying on the sofa playing pokémon emerald meanwhile I would watch the new VHS which she bought for me, waiting for my brother to be out of school so that I could play with him afterwards meanwhile we would re-watch the episode. This year has been horrible for me and my family, I lost my only grandparent I ever had, my mother discovered that had an heart problem which she got operated at a couple of months ago (the same one my grandmother, her mother, passed away)... it has been awful, we couldn't even tell her that she died in time coz doctors said would've not been a good choice since she was going to be under a lot of stress and it's not optimal before an operation... In the same period believe it or not I got aswell an heart problem, the day later my grandmother died I got to the hospital and the doctors told me that they going to keep me there for a week in intensive care, my heart beat was messed up, I didn't feel good for a while but I didn't want have attentions on me especially during all of what was happening with my mother and grandmother. After the second day tho, my heart beat was normal again, doctors said they don't know what could have messed up that badly it, I asked them if could be for emotional stress they told me was not related to emotion coz was something related to the blood which influenced the heart beat. My mom believes that my grandmother did watch over me... and I honestly like that theory a lot... I sometimes just wish I could go back in those so distant days... Those days where I didn't even care if I had friends or money, those days where I never felt really lonely, those days where for me was enough a sandwich made by my mom and play Pokemons all day... even she remembers that and even she says she would like to go back in those times (even tho she liked more Digimons she says). Passed so much since I was that happy... I'm sorry, I just wanted to type this story here under the starting ost of my favourite ever game, the game which made me so happy and gave me so many good memories... Thank you for the video, I am not a crying type of person... ig I'm getting old or you did a really good job... or maybe both....

@@emboredery they are really fun! The older games are really simplistic with their mechanics, but the newer ones have all sorts of different things you can do in them. The stories may be linear, but naming your character and building your own team can give you that aspect of really being able to tell your own story 🙂

This song has me looking at my current gen PC boxes. So I have a box in my PC. Inside this box rests all the pokemon I managed to bring with me across 20 years and 7 generations. Some are mine, and some belong to friends I haven't seen or spoke to in decades. I know all those game saves are more than likely gone, and many of those trainers have probably grown up and moved on, but I refuse to let go. So long as I continue to play, I will continue to hold onto these Pokémon and the memories they hold.

I'm only a young teenager, but this still made me feel so nostalgic. I was introduced through playing cards, I became a fan through Pokemon Go, then I started watching the anime, then RUclips videos of the actual game, and only a few months ago did I actually play the real games (through an emulator.) Pokemon Ruby was amazing, and even though I still have the file, I still miss my team :( Also, great playing, the little cadenza kind of thing when the scale is going down sounds great!

Said I had to meet her dad who was some sorta professor. I am away from home at the moment to study abroad and somehow this just brings me back to where I live. A small advice though: Don’t feel sad because your childhood had passed. I was born in 2004, and yet my first Pokémon game was Pokémon Sapphire version (in 2012), because my cousin gave me his old gameboy advance when I visited America haha. I also remember trying out his Red version, but getting stuck. I miss my Torchic lol, I remember catching Kyogre, battling Winona, all of it. So far the only games I've finished are Sapphire and Y version. Wish I discovered Pokémon earlier, missed out on DP and BW

God reading these comments has me feeling nostalgic. My mom refused to let me have any Pokemon stuff for most of my childhood, but I discovered roms and emulators around 5th grade. Pokemon emerald was my introduction to this wonderful series and I would not be the person I am without Pokemon.

I never play the game but this song make me feel comfort while i stressing so much for my life since a few days ago. I always late than everyone in learning anything that i should learned every single time in my life. I feel abandoned,angry,depressed,lonely every single time if i look their experience more than i should to be. I wanted to cry but i can't. I remember my first Pokemon game. I was just starting high school, and I went with my folks to a big store in the next town over because they had to get some stuff. My mom told me that I could get either a new pair of shoes, or that I could get a new game for my GBA that I had pretty much taken everywhere with me. Needless to say, I chose to get a new game, and I couldn't decide what I wanted. I had heard of Pokemon Sapphire/Ruby a couple years before but never saw myself playing one of their games because to me it sounded like a fad, something my autistic brain had an aversion to. But because we had to get back home and I didn't want to keep my parents waiting, I picked Sapphire for my newest game, played it, and I fell in love with the series from there on. I played it and had a lot of trouble, so much new gameplay I wasn't familiar with because I was more into platforming games like Mario and DKC. But as I progressed further into the game, I got so excited every time I beat a gym leader or got to go to a new area and explore. I picked Mudkip and I could remember us going on adventures to see where we went next. We fought hard, eventually made it to the Pokemon League, and though it was challenging, we made it. The game never ceased to amaze me. My mom passed away in 2015, but I'll never forget how she got me into video games, and how she was always willing to make me happy. Thanks mom. Thank you for the memories, the strength, values and wisdom you passed on to me, and just for being there whenever I needed you. I love you and I'm glad that you were the one who brought me into this world.

I remember so much about it. I was home alone on a Saturday morning when I beat Norman and started exploring the game further. Mount Pyre creeped me out after I realized I was walking around inside a mausoleum, and I got so excited to find Pikachu in the safari zone. Great times.
Not gonna lie, i suck at byes but love introductions. I played pokemon blue when i was only 7 years old. I got it from my grandpa before he passed, I was playing gens 2-4 until I got to middle school. After the first day of 6th grade i bought pokemon white. I played it and white 2 during those three years. I eventually got to high school, playing gen 6 and 7 thinking i was hot shit. I eventually saved up enough money to buy a switch and pokemon sheild in my sophmore year of highschool. Once i beat it, i bought scarlet. I played through it and it was easy for me but i was always driven back to gen 3. So one day, I sat down and opened my gameboy sp, booted up pokemon ruby, and started playing it with all the knowledge i have now. And I now sit right at the league, about to graduate from my high school's night school program and beating the only pokemon game i never had beaten. I listen to this and know everything from this point on will be okay. So now, I wait for the day i finally beat the hoenn league and move on. I loved the games, and loved the friends i made with the npcs. Most of all, i'm happy pokemon taught me that life is what you make of it. This is Pokemon trainer Basil, and I challenge pokemon champion steven stone to one last battle.
I wish I could share this nostalgic feeling and memories with my new born son. However, I'm afraid the next generation will never understand how we all felt playing pokemon in the old days

As a kid I dreamt of traveling the Hoenn Region with my starter Treecko and my best bud Absol. Defeating every gym and camping at night with all my Pokemon sitting close to me next to the fire that infernape helped to light up. Getting strong together and creating an unbreakable bond with my Pokemon. Defeating the elite 4 and the champion Wallace and then going back home to rest before I take on the Battle Frontier.
i never played gen3 as a kid , only heard this song for the first time playing the romhack perfect emerald for a friend half a year ago , so not only is this beating other pokemon nostalgia but it's doing so without any of it's own i think this may (lol unintentional pun) be the best hometown theme , the emotions it feels it's trying to play make me want to respond with tears......

as much as i LOVE Honenn, Jhoto will always be my home, my love my favorite region. I played pokemon red and yellow and thought wow this was cool but Jhoto is where i truly fell in love with pokemon the memories i have of that game over 10 years ago are only parraleled by VERY few game franchises. lol the main one being kingdom hearts not even the main entry it was kh chain of memories on ps2 i couldent rember that game till like 2017 and when i found it again the memories of that game flooded back in and it was sad. thats how i feel about Jhoto, although Hoenn and sinnoh is where my brother and used to play alot Jhoto is where it at for me.

In the same period believe it or not I got aswell an heart problem, the day later my grandmother died I got to the hospital and the doctors told me that they going to keep me there for a week in intensive care, my heart beat was messed up, I didn't feel good for a while but I didn't want have attentions on me especially during all of what was happening with my mother and grandmother. After the second day tho, my heart beat was normal again, doctors said they don't know what could have messed up that badly it, I asked them if could be for emotional stress they told me was not related to emotion coz was something related to the blood which influenced the heart beat.
My mom believes that my grandmother did watch over me... and I honestly like that theory a lot...
I sometimes just wish I could go back in those so distant days...
Those days where I didn't even care if I had friends or money, those days where I never felt really lonely, those days where for me was enough a sandwich made by my mom and play Pokemons all day... even she remembers that and even she says she would like to go back in those times (even tho she liked more Digimons she says).
Passed so much since I was that happy...
I'm sorry, I just wanted to type this story here under the starting ost of my favourite ever game, the game which made me so happy and gave me so many good memories...

@@emboredery they are really fun! The older games are really simplistic with their mechanics, but the newer ones have all sorts of different things you can do in them. The stories may be linear, but naming your character and building your own team can give you that aspect of really being able to tell your own story 🙂

This song has me looking at my current gen PC boxes. So I have a box in my PC. Inside this box rests all the pokemon I managed to bring with me across 20 years and 7 generations. Some are mine, and some belong to friends I haven't seen or spoke to in decades. I know all those game saves are more than likely gone, and many of those trainers have probably grown up and moved on, but I refuse to let go. So long as I continue to play, I will continue to hold onto these Pokémon and the memories they hold.

I'm only a young teenager, but this still made me feel so nostalgic. I was introduced through playing cards, I became a fan through Pokemon Go, then I started watching the anime, then RUclips videos of the actual game, and only a few months ago did I actually play the real games (through an emulator.) Pokemon Ruby was amazing, and even though I still have the file, I still miss my team :( Also, great playing, the little cadenza kind of thing when the scale is going down sounds great!

I was born in 2004, and yet my first Pokémon game was Pokémon Sapphire version (in 2012), because my cousin gave me his old gameboy advance when I visited America haha. I also remember trying out his Red version, but getting stuck. I miss my Torchic lol, I remember catching Kyogre, battling Winona, all of it. So far the only games I've finished are Sapphire and Y version. Wish I discovered Pokémon earlier, missed out on DP and BW

I usually have nostalgia for the games from my early childhood, the NES, SNES, etc, I didn't play 3rd gen until I was in high school, yet it makes me tear up whenever I listen to this song

My mom refused to let me have any Pokemon stuff for most of my childhood, but I discovered roms and emulators around 5th grade. Pokemon emerald was my introduction to this wonderful series and I would not be the person I am without Pokemon.

I remember my first Pokemon game. I was just starting high school, and I went with my folks to a big store in the next town over because they had to get some stuff. My mom told me that I could get either a new pair of shoes, or that I could get a new game for my GBA that I had pretty much taken everywhere with me.
Needless to say, I chose to get a new game, and I couldn't decide what I wanted. I had heard of Pokemon Sapphire/Ruby a couple years before but never saw myself playing one of their games because to me it sounded like a fad, something my autistic brain had an aversion to. But because we had to get back home and I didn't want to keep my parents waiting, I picked Sapphire for my newest game, played it, and I fell in love with the series from there on. I played it and had a lot of trouble, so much new gameplay I wasn't familiar with because I was more into platforming games like Mario and DKC. But as I progressed further into the game, I got so excited every time I beat a gym leader or got to go to a new area and explore. I picked Mudkip and I could remember us going on adventures to see where we went next. We fought hard, eventually made it to the Pokemon League, and though it was challenging, we made it. The game never ceased to amaze me.
My mom passed away in 2015, but I'll never forget how she got me into video games, and how she was always willing to make me happy. Thanks mom. Thank you for the memories, the strength, values and wisdom you passed on to me, and just for being there whenever I needed you. I love you and I'm glad that you were the one who brought me into this world.

Not gonna lie, i suck at byes but love introductions. I played pokemon blue when i was only 7 years old. I got it from my grandpa before he passed, I was playing gens 2-4 until I got to middle school. After the first day of 6th grade i bought pokemon white. I played it and white 2 during those three years. I eventually got to high school, playing gen 6 and 7 thinking i was hot shit. I eventually saved up enough money to buy a switch and pokemon sheild in my sophmore year of highschool. Once i beat it, i bought scarlet. I played through it and it was easy for me but i was always driven back to gen 3. So one day, I sat down and opened my gameboy sp, booted up pokemon ruby, and started playing it with all the knowledge i have now. And I now sit right at the league, about to graduate from my high school's night school program and beating the only pokemon game i never had beaten. I listen to this and know everything from this point on will be okay.
So now, I wait for the day i finally beat the hoenn league and move on. I loved the games, and loved the friends i made with the npcs. Most of all, i'm happy pokemon taught me that life is what you make of it. This is Pokemon trainer Basil, and I challenge pokemon champion steven stone to one last battle.

Esmeralda fue el primer contacto con Pokémon que tuve y debo decir que al inicio no me llamaba la atención para nada pero cuando vi a mudkip algo me enamoro a primera vista y desde entonces he jugado cada juego de pokemon qur hay con unas excepciones,tengo 20 años ahora y deseo mantener ese amor a Pokémon y a mudkip para toda la vida,ya qur me hace recordar a cuando era muy feliz,cuando no tenia la presión de la universidad y sobre todo de antes de la pandemia,como desearía regresar por mi swampert y tenerlo en la región mas reciente y luchar con el y que permanezca a mi lado hasta que ya no haya mas Pokémon,como extraño cuando mi vida era mas fácil y de lo único que me debia preocupar era de llenar la Pokédex

As a kid I dreamt of traveling the Hoenn Region with my starter Treecko and my best bud Absol. Defeating every gym and camping at night with all my Pokemon sitting close to me next to the fire that infernape helped to light up. Getting strong together and creating an unbreakable bond with my Pokemon. Defeating the elite 4 and the champion Wallace and then going back home to rest before I take on the Battle Frontier.

i never played gen3 as a kid , only heard this song for the first time playing the romhack perfect emerald for a friend half a year ago , so not only is this beating other pokemon nostalgia but it's doing so without any of it's own
i think this may (lol unintentional pun) be the best hometown theme , the emotions it feels it's trying to play make me want to respond with tears......

I would give anything to be 5 years old again. Constantly wiping my save file to play again. I am not exaggerating, I have beaten this game over 100 times and my final save file has over 6,000 hours on it. Hoenn, you are Home.

as much as i LOVE Honenn, Jhoto will always be my home, my love my favorite region. I played pokemon red and yellow and thought wow this was cool but Jhoto is where i truly fell in love with pokemon the memories i have of that game over 10 years ago are only parraleled by VERY few game franchises. lol the main one being kingdom hearts not even the main entry it was kh chain of memories on ps2 i couldent rember that game till like 2017 and when i found it again the memories of that game flooded back in and it was sad. thats how i feel about Jhoto, although Hoenn and sinnoh is where my brother and used to play alot Jhoto is where it at for me.
