- A mom, Susan Stanskas, discusses how 'ex-gay' organizations divide families - in the name of family values - and even cause some gay teenagers to commit suicide.
In this video, she urges parents to accept their gay and lesbian children and warns about the harm done by rejecting them.

When you love someone wholly, there are no conditions applied. Some people are straight, some are gay, some are cool, some are not. I love my gay friends. They are more fun to be with than anyone because they are truly comfortable in their own skin, unlike most people who are not brave enough to be themselves and relax. Love them already! It's that easy, folks!

Love this video. Why hate someone for his/her sexual orientation? Hard to believe so many people think otherwise. You're very brave standing up for your child and many others.
Nah, its not people who fix other people. Irrelevant of gender, race, orientation, etc. We all need grace, love, compassion and truth in our life. This will render justice towards our true identity. Yes, I found it in Jesus Christ and it was a transformative process. I was never gay, but I know personally gay people who decided out of their own will to give their lives to Christ because they saw something much better than the earth has to offer.
I love you woman. You are the mother of every gay on earth. Jesus has never rejected anyone for being gay in the Gospel.

The only thing that sucks about being gay, are the people who choose to believe they're "divinely right" at the expense of the truth, which is being gay is natural, happens all throughout nature. God even blessed a covenant between Jonathan and David. They were gay lovers, but God saw this as true love, and not some passionate fling, like David was known to do with women...

Ok, the Leviticus did call for gays to be "put to death," but the same chapter calls for the deaths of "wizards." I should take that seriously? In Corinthians the closest thing about gays is "effeminite" but it also lists "fornicators" which means people who have sex for any reason outside of procreation.... I'm sure you've had sex for pleasure once or twice.... Therefore you yourself will not "inherit the kingdom of Heaven." Romans was an utter mess, so I wouldn't even know how to comment on it

Sure, it depends on personality and on circumstances if you are able to have a good a relationsship if straight or gay. My humble subjective experience is that gay relationsship is about narcism and selflove. Straight men tell me that its hard to get through to a woman.But they get to a point where they simply know its right even or because they are different. To get through to a man was possible but not without a feeling of doubt.That doubt never left somehow, made me unhappy and unmotivated.

Human perception of reality is far from accurate due to our limited sensory resolution and our limited computational powers. But from our perception we quite naturally assume what we are able to perceive is all there is or can be. Like trying to explain love or a jet engine to a frog...

Our species has explored an infinitesimally small portion of reality. Who can say if there is or isn't a being that exists in a higher dimension that we might consider a spirirtual being? Maybe we're all in a computer program and nothing is real! We should really keep an open mind :)

From our perspective it would be quite natural to assume infinite intelligence must be behind such complex organisms such as us. After all, we cannot create even the simplest life forms....
@liptonBlueBirdAdd (12) - Humanity’s entire existence is but a wink of the cosmic eye and we will disappear just as quickly and uneventfully as we appeared in the first place without even a trace we ever existed. Ok, I'm not "blaming" God for who I am. I'm perfectly fine with who I am. I'm a veteran of two foreign wars, pay my taxes and vote. I know there's no litmus to get into heaven, only an acceptance of Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior. It is man, claiming to work in Christ's name, that are imposing these tests, when, obviously we're not hurting anyone by being who we are. We're not telling you who to love, and neither is God.

You can believe in a spiteful, and hateful God who chooses to make people he hates, but I choose not to believe that, as I was born into a house overflowing with love, and I myself have immense love for all God's creatures. Really? Where in the bible does it state that a man shall be put to death for laying with another man? Anyone with any common sense would see that as maybe a little harsh. Is it a mortal sin to use God's word as a weapon?
Well, I know I'm a good person, I don't need validation from a hateful person like you. God knows my heart is true, and that's all that matters. God knows what God wants, and nothing you or your bible says will make your hatred justifiable. I can only imagine what God thinks of hate being used in His name. I'm not trying to "nullify" God's word, but man's imperfect interpretation of it.

I believe in God, and actually consider religion and all it's trappings as a manmade roadblock between ourselves and God. Much of the bible was written thousands of years ago, when slavery was culturally acceptable; should it still be, as is advocated in the bible?

There are some people who do not need "healing", because homosexuality is not a sickness and it is not something you can "choose" not to feel anymore. I know the path I've taken. It doesn't hurt anyone or anything, as I've said before I've got nothing but love in my heart. If you choose to fill your heart with hate, and choose to believe homosexuals are the biggest sinners, then that's your choice. I just want to know why you choose to bring God into your hatefest. If God is all-powerful, he surely would NOT make people that he specifically hates, just to damn them from birth.
You mean like you're twisting God's word? Here is a passage:1 Samuel 16:7, which says "But the Lord said unto Samuel, 'Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth, not as a man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart." So many gays are good people, pure of heart and intentions, but are still held down by the false belief that God makes gay people just to damn them.
Let's see, calling me names, passing judgement, even damning me to hell... Sounds like you're trying to guess how God should do his job. You can be done all you want, but when you're confronted by God about your treatment of gays, it won't be so easy for you to say "I'm done." Your time was wasted? I'm not the bigot, I'm not the one who should repent, and I'm certainly not going to hell for being self-righteous enough to think I can do God's job for him.

I've not once on this site claimed to be Christian. I'm trying to better understand why there are so many contradictions in your arguement, because you claim the words of God are irrefutable, and completely refuse to acknowledge the other words of God in the same book, that one cannot wear two different fabrics, or eat shellfish or pork, or plant two different crops in the same field. I'm sure God was talking more about promiscuity, and less about homosexuality.

I'm not deaf. I can hear your brand of religious intolerance from a mile away, and so can God. God loves, he doesn't hate. He damns rapists, murderers, and idolators, but he doesn't damn those who he knows has simple love in their hearts. I know I'll be fine in the afterlife, as I've repented for all applicable sins, and asked for forgiveness for all of my sins as percieved by Him. I'm not looking for your acceptance, but asking you to repent for your intolerant religious bigotry.
We are ALL God's children. If God created the universe, he created gays.
