I'm 75. I reinforced my tower base and welded on hinges and a counterweight to lower and raise my windmill tower by hand for maintenance. Also, if you would hinge your tailfeathers on a 45° slanted pivot, so it could rise on either side, you could get rid of that furling spring and lock, controllong furl by the amount of weight on the outboard end of the tail.
Loved the video! I would love to see more like it. It takes some gumption to climb up there with little to no safety equipment! I hope to see more repairs!
