    Chorus:
    Out on the backstreets, I hear a heartbeat
    We're gonna rock America
    Standin' together forever, now and forever,
    We're gonna rock America
    They try to put us down
    Say we're no good 'cause our music's loud
    I guess they just don't forget when they were young
    When there was just one king
    Elvis was his name and he sure could swing
    The Beach Boys had 'em singin' "Fun, Fun, Fun"

    You don't need any object to do it, just use the part of your hand that you use to palm mute. Lightly touching the strings, slide your picking hand up and done the strings along the picking area, while doing pull offs somewhat aggressively.. Any overdrive pedal will make it ring outmuch better.

  • @nickwellings9433
    @nickwellings9433 16 лет назад +1

    See, I tried that, and it's hard to get them ringing in a scale like he does. I know you can use your fingertips or edge of the palm. If you pause at 1:56 you'll see that Timmons is not using the edge of his palm, nor his fingertips, it really looks like he is holding something against the strings.

      You just need to find right place between pickups, it's same tecnique Vito Bratta used in White Lion - Radar Love guitar solo. Check guitar solo lesson of that song and you'll find out how to do it. (It's easy)

    I have a strange compulsion to wrestle with Lance Storm. No idea why

  • @nickwellings9433
    @nickwellings9433 16 лет назад

    I think Timmons is using something like a ring or a piece of metal, or maybe even his pick.
    Because it is very difficult to get those harmonics usings fingers or the hand.
    But if anyone else knows different, maybe they can help!
    You play the notes with one hand, and move the picking hand + ring/object along the string quite lightly, in time with what you are playing.
    It might take some experimentation + practice. Thanks go to my mate Andy for his suggestion of the ring.

    I should have been more clear in my post. When I said you don't need an object, I didn't mean that you can't. Looks to me like he's using his pick.
    Ok, I just messed around with it..while doing the pull offs, press against the string with the edge of your pick and slide it up and down...I found it worked best on the G string (D was ok)...try it out and let me know

    Great band, the singer looks like Bret Michaels. Too bad that at the end of this show, basically, everyone went to dress like Nirvana and hailed that junkie Cobain as a God.

  • @1killahead

    Paul Laine is a better singer than Ted Poley
