My wife and I love this game. The only time we were able to play with others so far, we just did the family version of the game. Even that version, which is much simpler, is an excellent polyomino game and a great way to introduce the game to people who don’t have a lot of experience with these types of games. As far as the solo play is concerned, I love it also. I agree that it is a satisfying puzzle, very challenging and very enjoyable. I do not care for most solo versions that just have you trying to beat your own score. So having a true win/loss condition adds to the tension, and then it turns everything upside down since your “sister” is trying to steal the glory off of what you have done on your boat rather than creating her own boat.
