- Been waiting for episode 4 of HotD to finish this video, so I'd finally have that buffet of footage! Have loved this song for a very long time, and thought it was the perfect script for this point in Daemon & Rhaenyra's journey. Though I may have given into my temptations to include some foreshadowing for a certain future event (from the trailers only, so HBO spoiled you first!).

A lot of people say he wants her for power. I would say both of them want each other for the power each will bring the other. The thing is, they understand each other, where they stand and where they come from and where they want to get and they accept one another. The reciprocated attraction between them only adds up to the power play.
Agree. I mean what's wrong if they want both (the throne and each other) for themselves? In my opinion the throne and power can be used for good things. And of course they can be good couple ruling together and match each other.
Yeah I see the whole "power" aspect as more a consequence of their positions -- like, being anything less than the Heir to the Throne or the #1 Trusted Advisor or some other Very PowerfulTM role is basically a huge insult. Rhaenyra doesn't want to be married off to some loser lord or dismissed from Small Council meetings or be talked over by her father and Otto, because that is insulting for a person in her position who is going to be the freaking ruler, and Daemon doesn't want the continued insult of being married to a lesser match and constanly held at arms length and discarded instead of being in the inner circle, because he is the King's brother and used to be the presumptive heir and it is insulting to be so dismissed.
I see all that as the undercurrent of the power/respect that they both want, but is completely intertwined with the fact that they have always had this deep connection (even before the power/politics of it all were in play), clearly want each other, and see each other as a "worthy" match. All to say, power couple on the rise 🔥 haha

Idc what the book might say, haven’t read it, but what I’m seeing from the show is their’s is an animalistic, ridiculously strong bond that is fine within their line and I am all about it. Bring the heat HotD.

Disagree with the part of "betrayed" and "all her children dead". She still had her kids with Daemon, Aegon III and Viserys II. He also fought for her in the end of his life. About the rumour of him and Nettle in the book, don't forget the book was written through third person point of view, it could be written by Maester who's biased that might dislike Rhaenyra. So we'll have to see how their end will be made in tv version. Can't believe 12 people like your comment.
