- Aurelia Dobre (ROM) was not at the peak of her possibilities, due to her injury prior the Olympic Games.
She received a 9,775 and finished 6th in the floor final.

I love this floor exercise. With that dramatic choreography. She was such a great dancer.
Maybe it is just me, but I feel like Aurelia Dobre and Daniela Silivas had another choreographer in 1987 and 1988. The routines in both years were so different from what we have seen from the romanian girls before and afterwards.
I enjoyed watching them a lot in those two years. While Silivas had the better choreography in 1987, Aurelia Dobre overtook her in 1988 at the Olympic Games by far.... 😄🥰😀😊😋😏💚
@@Boban1611 Yes, they could have have had another choreographer, I share your feeling. More routines in the period 1987-1989 had good and different choreography in my opinion. I also like the choreography of Popa and Potorac (1988). I believe Leo Cosma was the choreographer from Daniela Silivas in 1988 but I'm not sure...Perhaps he choreographed the other routines too.

1 of the greatest of her time. Was a pity for the Olympics her knee didn't let her to take gold
I am pretty sure, Aurelia would have been a serious contender for the Gold Medal in 1988....
it was best than the foor she had in 88 olympics as landings , but veyr poor difficiulty even for times
I think she never really recovered after her knee surgery and was a bit cautious when it came to difficult skills and their landings.
The reporter mentioned, that 1988 was not her best year..... because of the common known reasons.
She was competing with a broken kneecap, so her tumbling had to be watered down, unfortunately
