of course I am impressed by the triple and the other tumbles as well, but I am reminded about the 2 cursed skills, press to handstand and scale that are the hardest to hold in a stacked difficulty routine. excellent form none the less

I miss watching the routine for the actual routine. Now, I basically ignore the "dance" and just see what tumbling passes they do.

Can't believe she was still performing this routine in 1994. Never cared for this one.

My nephew is 20 years old now, but when he was little he looked over my shoulder as I watched this routine one day, and was enthralled. He often asked me to watch it. He called it the "tweet tweet" video! Don't tell him I told you this, he'd die from the embarrassment 😊

Very creative routine. Her "switch leap" at the beginning looks like me pretending to be a gymnast.

A 9,700 seems low for this vault. I think I remember reading that the judges reserved higher scores for Yurchenko-style vaults during that time period.

One of my all-time favorite floor routines along with Davydova's 1980 Moscow Olympic one. These routines showed a lot of personality and were very enjoyable to watch.

NEWCOMER IN 1988 AND MOST POLISHED ROMANIAN IN SEOUL AFTER DOBRE BACK THEN BEEN AT ROMANIAN TEAM MEANT HIGH LEVEL OF REAL ARTISTIC GYMNASTICS !

Probably the least deserving 10 on floor ever. Well apart from Szabo at world’s in 1983 when she stood out of bounds.

I definitely wasn't expecting that final tumble line, especially with the huge amount of dance during the routine and the fact that she usually ended witya double tuck

As soon as they saw that perfect 10, Kim & her entire team were extremely grateful.. bc had they lost, the entire team & their families would have been sent to a NK work camp for life.. or the NK govt would have killed between 5-8 generations of their families... She literally saved their lives with that routine. There was a NK soccer team recently that had lost in the Olympics.. the entire team has disappeared & never been seen again. This shit isnt a joke to the NK teams.. they know what awaits them if they lose and make a fool out of their country.

I'm still unclear how this routine received a 10sv when Amanar and Borden were scored out of 9.900.

Shannon really had a strong Phelps vault tsuk 1/2 on 1/2 off) here - if she had kept that up and used in Atlanta as her main vault it would have strengthed her all around credentials (she only used a yurchenko half off 9.9). Much better in flight form than more powerful vaulters like Amanar
