There are no words for this! This is a woman! She's celebrating her femininity and toying with the audience. This is NOT a routine. This is a PERFORMANCE. She was a Diva in Gymnastics.

It seems like 1990 was when Laschenova started to fade from the scene a little bit. She didn't make it to the Soviet team at Europeans that year, she didn't make it into the competitive line-up at the Goodwill Games (I think she was an alternate), and she didn't make it to the World Cup. And in 1991, she didn't make it to Worlds.

Germany were drug users and dopers apparently. Amphetamine and steriods I believe. I heard they were forced to get pregnant and abort, with some idea it made you stronger and I heard the best gymnasts were encouraged or forced to have babies with each other with the idea that a perfect prodigy gymnast would be made. Like breeding horses. I hope it's not true, and my heart goes out to many gymnasts from this era.

Nunca me ha gustado Shannon Miller en suelo. Lo siento. Respetuosamente, siempre respetuosamente, creo que tenía excesivos elementos de danza en sus coreografías.
