Why don't Force motors partner with Cummins, and use their 6bt 5.9 diesel engine? Force should replace the OM616 with the 6bt 5.9 one in their Traveller, Gurkha and rest of cars. Then force vehicles can become solid workhorse. That 5.9 Inline 6 cylinder has over 800 nm of torque. It's time Force use that high displacement Cummins in their vehicles. Does anyone agree?

No doubt, Thar is a much better finished product, but you need to understand, Gurkha has couple of advantages too, one of the most important being "SPACE". People can much easily climb at the back seat with ease as compared to the Thar. For hardcore Offroaders, you get mechanical Diff locks, that too on both front and rear wheels. FM needs to work more to make the Gurkha a better vehicle but they also need to be appreciated for the current version which is way better than the previous version. The previous version though was also a good package, came with a more powerful 2.2 L engine with a 3 inch lift straight out of the factory. And did i say, Gurkha doesnt need adblu :), which makes cold starts even more easier and also lesser cost of ownership. On getting a new engine, they dont need to do so. The existing 2.6 in a 100+bhp version is doing duty on the Traveller, or relaunch the 2.2, but again will require adblu or DEF.

The good old 2.6 is a reliable unit, and newer iterations produce a maximum 350nm of torque all the way from 1400rpm as in the Traveller. Just shows how refined it has gotten over the years. If Force plans about making force gurkhas with multiple body styles, solid front axle, coilovers, the 2.6 tuned to produce 350nm of torque and the strong gearbox from the Traveller, it would be a game changer workhorse that could find interest in Africa and Australia, rivaling the 70 seriea land cruiser (which is Toyota's own bolero lol)
