Good old reliable, trustworthy Warren who can supply you with cake & hot custard even when lightweight camping in atrocious weather. Good Luck with the full walk in August.
The 2 amigos out in their usual weather living the dream .. in their dreams. A sure test of man and his gear this one guys. Gotta hope the 100 is better weather Dan. Great camp good humour. Bushyboy Oz.
Enjoyed that Dan. Good old South Downs. Good plan testing the tent out. That rain and clag! Love that wide shot near the end of you both walking on the horizon. Hope you got all the kit dried out all okay. Niiicee! 👍👍
@@CampLifeBushcraft It was hysterical, Dan. My type of humour too 🤣 I know exactly what you mean about not caring. I’ve not been on an overnighter since April and I couldn’t care if I get four seasons in one day next week or, get bitten by a tiger or squashed by a rock. I’m out 😁 All good here thank you, Dan. I hope the same for you too. 24 😉👍🏼
G'day Dan, Warren, nice trip within Itself. I do dig the history, including railways and glad to hear the wildflowers have been considered too !!!!! anyway, a bitta recon and good gear test, (fetching, an all Warren), for ....... did you say 100 mile .......... better you than me mate ; ) Seriously, all the very best of British, when the time comes. Cheers Duke. P.S. Btw; I reckon camping overlooking Leeds would provide a good view of campfires, or I should say "wildfires", at the moment, .... no probs with that skill there ; (
Hi Dan, so you and Mr linley were in my neck of the woods. I have spent many nights on and around Old Winnie Hill mate, cracking place no matter the weather, but superb when the suns out bud . Good effort by you both, love the videos mate keep them coming, big thumbs up. Regards moose
It is a rotter when it rains.. which is why I always go camping wearing a conundrum ! lol Hope all is well Dan bro ! Very best wishes to you and yours as always ! I used to live in Easton near Winchester ..but I also used to live in Australia ..so I used to dynamite the trout in the river Itchen ..no wonder those posh chaps couldn't hook a Scarlet ! lol.. When they cut the M3 through the Worthy Down I was devastated.. I divorced my girlfriend and married my wig !! .. lol
When I did the south downs way last year I couldn't camp there. There were simply too many people about. I had to camp in the woods bit. Also carry 3 ltrs of water with you. The taps can be quite spread out at times and they don't always work.
That's why we went to test it out.. the woods are our secondary option. I imagine on a sunny evening it may be busy.. depending on what night of the week it is.
I really hope that you finish this. It's so much more of a challenge when you're not someone who walks these distances regularly. The pain is pretty bad doesn't it. I'm walking an ultra challenge from Eastbourne to Arundel in 2wks 100km. I'm not fit and kind of dreading it lol the only solace is that I completed the IOW 106km a couple of years ago. I need to see you complete this to get me inspired buddy.
The Shoe Inn seems to be very popular. What weather, I think I wouldve gone home or B&B. Enjoyed as always, Warren is very interesting You'll be fit enough
Do you still use that hand free umbrella? I’m considering buying it and you have review of it 4 years ago but in this video you’re not using it anymore. Why if I may ask?
Love the video, loved the trip mate. Nice :)
It was a great night out. Really enjoyed it mate. Thank you 👍

Thanks Stephen. Although I'm not sure Warren will bring custard on the proper trip 😪
Awesome overnight hike and camp. Weather was nasty, looks like a great tent
Thanks. It was good to get out again, weather and all. 👌
Great video ,best of luck with your walk .
You can’t go wrong with a modified Lanshan 1
And you chose the best colour 👍
@gavinwallbank7570 thanks Gavin. Appreciate that. 👍

I hope so too.. I don't really want to carry my heavy-duty waterproofs.
Great test for the tent though. Really pleased with that.
Love your adventures boys.. always good.
Crissy and i are thinking of coming to the UK next year. see how things pan out. Cheers

Really, I didn't realise you were from around there.
The views in the morning were glorious. But even tent bound I was just happy to be outside 🙃
Wow what a night! But worth it for the beautiful views in the morning. Hope you got your medicinal pint😜 Great video 👍

I haven't been camping for a good month or so.. it was just great to be out again.. tge rain wasn't going to 'dampen' my mood 😁😁
You failed to mention Winchester Alfie and his cakes.. the mustard was supposed to be in the caboose god damn it !!

I'm practicing for an ultralight trip. I still have the umbrella and use it on occasion. But it won't be part of my ultralight set up.
Rain test = pass SDW here we go…🙃🍄
