So, what is today's lesson? Never violate the fundamentals of conventional framing; in particular always utilize diagonal triangulated bracing to lock in
plumb and square. Please allow me to make a few suggestions that may help you in your future builds. Cut a recess 1/4 inch deep to set the base of all your vertical post in your floor sheeting. Secure
one course (from the floor up) of your floor sheeting around the perimeter of your building on the interior side of your
wall as you build each section. This will help a lot in locking in the plumb and square of your structure from the base up.
Finally, in regards to your roofing method;
as you appear to have ready supply of the
plastic drums; you might consider cutting
some up to make a type of shingle or underlayment that would prevent water leaks. If you were to use the plastic drum
material as shingles, you could paint your
roof any color you want. There are excellent paints for plastic that provide
both great adhesion and durability. If you
were to use the plastic material as underlayment then of course you could use your bamboo over the plastic to achieve the contours and finished aesthetic that you want. Finally, let me say I wish you well sir and that my suggestions are offered in a spirit of friendlyness and not criticism. It is obvious you are an intelligent and diligent man. How are you going to waterproof the roof
