It's interesting that people actually like clicky buttons. I am a big fan of silent keys/buttons for everything. I prefer to be able to play my console while traveling and in public spaces without driving people around me crazy or getting too much attention

I also tend to like mine quite but I've really been struggling with no feedback so there are an option I'm looking into

Most people like the feeling, not the sound

I personally prefer membrane buttons on a controller, though that's only if it's done well. It's very easy to mess up and I've felt plenty of bad membranes in controllers, especially on the dpad.
But I am considering trying to give clicky buttons a go for using more often

Holy crap those are loud... I'd love it if they had a quieter version

For fighting games the clicky would give a more involving experience I supposed. Great product and video

Does it make the D-pad feel better? Ive been doing some GBC games and I hate how the D-Pad feels.

just installed the oled version on my oled deck. as someone with very little experience opening up electronics, it took me a couple hours. hardest part for me was removing the triggers. very happy with the results though. the stock oled buttons and dpad for me were very loose and rattly.

Thought the clicky buttons would have been as good as the ones in the wolverine Chroma controller. I think the ones there are very good but I feel like id want to keep to the default deck ones if the feeling i get from the video sound is right, as it sounds like there isn't any tension before the click so it might not be as smooth.
I'm only really feeling like getting some more responsive back buttons that would be easier to click. Also the decks joysticks are a bit stiffer feeling than usual but I don't use them for precision so I think they're good enough until maybe they get drift then ill get better ones installed as it looks pretty easy to do.

Think I will have to wait 10 years to justify taking it apart for buttons incase I break it 😅

Love these type of buttons, but wouldn't wanna use these in public as much as stock buttons. Same in bed as you mentioned.

I wish there was a balance between not mushy and not ear killing clickiness. Rhe only reason i want to do rhis is bevause rhe dpad is so freaking mushy but idk if i want ro hear rhat much noise

This would probably lead to a better experience in game but I can imagine this being obnoxious in public.

  • @lddestroier814

I installed this on my own steam deck, and it required a lot more force to push the buttons and it made my fingers hurt. It's probably more of a me thing, but any games that require mashing the same button becomes nearly impossible. It might've been a different story if the buttons were flat-top instead of beady so that they didn't poke into my fingers so bad.

Just so you know, those joysticks are a downgrade. Sure they may never drift, but is that really worth the downgrade in accuracy and range of motion?

    • @drewby618
      @drewby618 8 месяцев назад

What do you mean downgrade in accuracy and range of motion? They look, feel, and function just like the stock sticks

@@drewby618no they don't, the gullikits have a square outer range which is really ass
