excellent video. if I could just suggest you do more facing of the camera. Not head on but almost on an angle. (chest to the camera) Great questions, great show case and beautiful rig. Volvo has come a long way , once rejected to now preferred. (Imo)

The reason I prefer Volvo trucks in ATS is that they are most similar to European trucks among American trucks. With a few exceptions, the interior and dashboard design is almost identical to that of European Volvo trucks! It has a huge cabin and is packed with innovative new technology, so I can't imagine how expensive it would be.
I have one question 🙋🏽♂️. To whom or where do we lay complaints from with scs? Cause all the ets2 updates have been buggy. I can't open my ets2 using the standard executable mode. The only one that works is the openGL and even that has screen issues it leaves a huge boarder at the bottom of the screen which is very annoying. I won't mention the construction vehicle bugs and walls along the roads I'm guessing that's being sorted out timely but let's get the ets2 working properly with the executions please.

'm an old gamer since 18 wheels of steel. I would like to ask you to make the height of the trucks look more real. Currently the feeling is that the truck is the height of a pickup truck. Some modders managed to do this by reducing the size of objects in the map scene. A good example of what it would feel like to drive a big truck> ruclips.net/video/C6CW3xlKILk/видео.html >ruclips.net/video/9N-u7-s_Qrc/видео.html look how small things look next to those trucks.
You could add the option to focus on a certain part of the panel or signposts by enabling zoom with the right mouse button to make it clearer, saving most of the processing time.

Mám moc rád Volvo VNL 860 v ATS. Když přišlo do hry, měl jsem zpočátku trochu problém se s ním sžít a chvíli mi trvalo než jsem ho dostal správně do rukou. Podobný problém jsem měl i při prvním pořízení předchozího modelu VNL 780, nicméně teď patří oba mezi mé oblíbence a je skutečně radost s tím modelem VNL 860 jezdit ve hře😎

V ETS 2 v 1.5.0 beta se pravidelně ve městě Berlín stává, že dostanu pokutu za přejetí křižovatky na červenou, přičemž stojím před semaforem a dobře na něj vidím!!!!

my favorite truck in the game. Thanks SCS for the truck, Zeemods for the D13TC engine sound pack with I-Shift transmissions that have 2 amazing crawler gears, Snowy Moon for TAA that smooths out the jagged edges. All of you make this truck look and sound the best in the game.

One of my handfull of trucks in ATS is a VNL daycab from this generation,
Mainly used to haul a stepdeck around from time to time. 👌
I love my VNL's. Not only is my main truck in game the New Volvo VNL 860 (I still have my heavily tweaked high mile 2014 VNL 780), my entire fleet is based around the entire VNL line (various spec's of 300's, 740's, and 860's, though I still have a few garages with 2014 VNL's in various spec's too).
Of 220 fleet 61 are Volvo VNL 😎 those were my preferred trucks during my starting days
Although i do have a very soft sport for Kenworth Volvo i love it from my ETS2 days

This truck is the cornerstone of America's truck fleet with 85% of the trucks on the road Globetrotters. Every company in the US has a Globetrotter in their fleet examples of paint Swift Knight Red, KLM Silver, and Swift Knight Blue and White for Swift Knight, Pumpkin Orange for Schneider Transport, UPS Brown for Buster Brown themselves UPS, ABF Green for ABF, and the list goes on. The Volvo 860 is the top truck behind the new T680 thats why Volvo builds them.
I think they use the 760 cabin for most fleets but its close enough 👍

Watching this made me think of something: *Innovation facilitates improvement; The strive for improvement breeds innovation.*
One of my biggest problems with the world we live in is that innovation typically becomes corporate property for the sake of competing for monopoly. All the manufacturers are trying to get an edge over their competition by holding on to their own proprietary innovations. This creates division, where you have pools of innovative solutions sitting in various camps in perpetual separation - until a patent runs out or someone circumvents it.
The main reason that we can't have all the best innovative solutions from all the different engineering teams around the world all in a single machine is _this:_ *Greed.*
Because there is so much greed in our world, the system of patents was developed. This system supposedly protects an innovator against exploitation, but the system itself is mainly exploited selfishly by corporations. Because of greed, innovative creations are held back from reaching the many, which prevents others from benefiting from the solutions and prevents the spread of knowledge. There's no good reason why we shouldn't all be sharing good ideas with each other for the betterment of everyone. Your knowledge may improve someone else's creation, while their knowledge may improve yours. So much more can be accomplished by working together - in essence: *_Seeking the advantage of others_** (1 Cor 10:24)* - and that is exactly what an individual engineering team does and _needs to do_ to make possible the kind of innovation we see in many areas. But then those teams are pitted against each other in a worldwide competition by the greed of corporate boards.
And the sad thing is that these very corporations are the ones with the greatest ability to innovate because of their disproportionately greater access to resources. Innovation requires research and development, which is a form of science - a scientific approach to trial and error - and this is by it's very nature a very costly process. This is where the sharing of knowledge would accelerate this process and thereby greatly reducing the use of resources to get the answers you need (because of the access to knowledge). That's essentially what cost effective R&D comes down to.
Proverbs 15:7 (NWT) reads: *"The lips of the wise spread knowledge, But not so the heart of the stupid one"*
Of course some sharing of knowledge occurs within an industry - especially among smaller businesses - but it is greatly held back by the competition facing every business, big or small.
People say that competition breeds innovation. But the truth is that competition holds it back. *What **_really_** breeds innovation is **_the strive for improvement!_* Competition just creates a bigger appetite for improvement so as to dominate the playing field. So it's fueled by greed in this case. But innovation in and of itself doesn't require competition. All you need is the will to strive for improvement. That will is much better fueled by good things, rather than the unending selfish want for more that greed is.
"All you need is love" kinda sums it up - the love for creating, innovating, and improving - the love for learning and sharing knowledge - the love for your fellow man and wanting to make life better for others. It's actually very simple in essence, but gets complicated by various bad traits such as greed and envy.
So, can we all agree to do our best to work out bad traits and to improve on our good ones, and to teach our children to do the same?
Easier said than done, but that really is the only way forward to a better world.

I want to actually hear about systems, data, specs, etc. I can't stand generalist statements: "The truck is more advanced, the system knows how to optimize fuel efficiency, the technology we included is so much better". It's like talking magic instead of actual engineering.
Anyway, if you can't tell yourself or it doesn't bother you it is just because you don't know jack either. Nothing wrong with that... I guess they need to make content for less knowledgeable people too. It's okay.

I always here that Europeans are envious of the size of North American truck sleeper compartments. The roomy sleeper bunks are something they wish they could have on their tractors.

Imagine the auto-breaking system malfunctions. Every system does sooner or later. Your truck will be applying its brakes by itself no matter what the driver wants? Hopefully it is not in really bad weather or an otherwise critical moment. As soon as a driver blames the auto system for a death the lawsuits are likely to begin. You can't really hold it against the driver if they are not in control due to the auto system malfunctioning and it is controlling the truck at the moment.
I have to wonder if the buyer can just shut the system off at will? Something could fall off a vehicle ahead of the truck and would the system detect a piece of large debris and slam on the brakes? We have all seen those videos of a tire rolling down the highway for example. An audio warning is one thing but actually taking control from the driver is never a good idea in my eyes.
