- Hi everyone, in this video I’m going to show you how to wire an illuminated 4 prong/pin rocker switch. This rocker switch is an AC switch with an LED inside. If we switch this on, the LED indicator will be on. The pins are divided into 2 sides, there is a bump in between the pins.
I wire the switch without soldering

You need to solder or crimp the connection. Just twisting it is not good enough. Over time this will corrode and get hot. Thanks for the wiring diagram though. That's what I was looking for.
i waited 2 years to respond to your comment. I am you from the future sending this msg from the past. Dont eat that taco given to you at the vendor truck you are soon to encounter! your future children depend on it Marty! jk jk anyways trolling aside your right and the other day got a cheap burnout oven that had a short due to your exact mention of the improper wiring..

How to wire or connect to car amplifier switch ? Tell me how ty
Mex?
What about the ground wire?
No ground wire on this switch
I see but what do you do if you have a ground wire? You connect the ground wire on a metal piece inside the cabinet?
@@bjorn3977 Yes ground goes to a bare metal screw on the enclosure.
@@bjorn3977 just tie the 2 grounds together before the switch
What if the switch dont light up
Then recheck the wiring
@@wihaf check that and direct to 12 volt battery still no light on switch so ordered 2 more and same thing no light opened them up all looks well light bulb everything tight still no light on switches
@@xXxCrazyJay810xXx these are 120 volt switches,
It looked as though it was wired backwards. On (O) was off and off (-) was on.
(O) means "OPEN" & (-) means "CLOSED" 🙄
I would suggest YOU should always call an electrician.
@@stringerfilms. I know this is an old ass comment but it's a 0 and 1, like in computers, 1 means on and 0 means off lmao
@alfredorodriguez518 correct and is the same as open and closed but which explanation will keep a novice from electrocuting themselves? 🤣
Not very descriptive! 😡
