Love the videos - keep them coming. I am new to Revit - I am a plumber by trade and I find your videos extremely informative. Looking forward to the Revit Ninja site up and running. Would love to see some videos using pipe hangers (clevis, friction, split ring, etc). Also - No Hub pipe with clamps. Please keep the videos coming. - Truly appreciate your hard work.
Thanks for the kind words Martin! I respect the trade guys so much. I always love learning from you guys. As far as showing pipe hangers, I assume you need to show these for your shop drawings? For the no hub pipe with clamps, can you be more specific. I primarily focus on design in my career but I'm willing to do some shop drawing stuff for you in the future. Thanks for asking!
Do you use the default keynotes at all? Or do you just use the annotation family and note block? This is cool, but I do feel there is some lost functionality compared to using the Revit keynotes.
There is definitely lost functionality. The main advantage of keynotes is their ability to know what sheet they are placed on. I just don't want to deal with the problems of deleting items and losing the keynote text. Or managing the text file. Did you say you recommend using excel to manage the file? Do you use any tricks to get around having to tag actual model elements? I'd love to know how you manage it.
Big downside to the SMART Keynotes shown in this video: if you are adding keynotes and have two notes that have the same number but different text values, the text value will disappear altogether. I very much prefer the Revit keynotes and just work around requiring a host (sometimes I just host to a nearby wall or door instead of what I'm actually noting). EDIT: You 100% lost me at the "Sheet Reference" parameter. This is no longer a viable option. Sorry, man, just use the Revit keynotes or a manual text box. This unnecessarily complicates a very simple concept.
I made this video a long time ago. Revit 2023 has a new feature that makes this method much better. I plan to make a video about it very soon! Hosting keynotes to random model elements is too scary for me lol.

Is there a way to add the label you created (The 3D Box around the number) to the schedule, so the schedule shows the label in your schedule
Yes, but I don't think you want to go through all the trouble. ruclips.net/video/EU3qvwPJeBc/видео.html
Sometimes it's just better to adapt to revit and do away with some of our old techniques like putting the symbol next to the sheet notes.
