I don’t remember that much from the show (only that it was amazing), but as long as you’re ok with this stuff, shoul,d be fine. You should probably look up some reviews though. I might have missed something.

    OMG..all these hating comments. 😂 You guy's act like it was a real story and that it can't be changed. Shakespeare was creative, and a writer. I seriously doubt hes rolling in his grave because someone took inspiration from his story and put a different spin on it. 😂 Its no different than when a music artist covers another artist song. They put their own flavor and flair. Relax, go outside and touch some grass. Everything is OK! I promise. ❤

    For all asking about how Shakespeare would feel about this, he lived during a time period of racism and misogyny. He would be screaming that (1) there's women playing his characters (2) there's black people and other POC playing his characters (or those that were inserted into his story) and worst of all (3) that a black woman is playing the lead. This isn't about him though, this is something to show how far we've come and to keep his famous stories alive with the times.
    So yes, he is rolling in his grave, and he can keep on doing so.

    They butchered R&J. No more love story, so Romeo thought Juliet was dead, so he suicide, Juliet wakes up and said “I’m not in love with Romeo, I want to date 100 other guys” wow!!

    • @pulchritudinousqueenmelody3182
      @pulchritudinousqueenmelody3182 2 года назад +6

      They DID NOT butchered Romeo & Juliet. It still the same characters but it's a twist to the story. During these sad times of everything that is happening now, I think is brilliant in my eyes how Mr. Read wrote the story. If you want to be that technical about the whole thing and not into "CHANGE," then STOP being disrespectful by calling it R&J...how does that feel by me correcting you. "CHANGE is GOOD!" STOP living in the dark ages.
