Beach Camping Lake Mohave | A Chill Night at Camp

- This week we head out to Cottonwood Cove to explore some beach front camping in the area! About an hour and half drive out of Las Vegas! Who knew you could find lake front camping in the desert? =p After some research we found an awesome cove off Mead Davis Powerline road right when you pass through the Lake Mead fee area (Free to enter if you have the America the Beautiful pass!)
The road out to the cove was pretty chill, no 4x4 required but a lot of washboard roads. I wouldnt take an RV down there (there isnt a large area to turn around if needed) but definitely a 2WD vehicle could make it. When you get to the water, be careful of softer sand (we got Angela's car stuck :))
We arrived later afternoon since the temps were in the high 80s/low 90s, luckily we found a spot right on the water with our own private beach. It was hot but the water and the shade from the Nomadic awning helped us power through! We had some jambalaya for the night which was amazing and had a pretty chill night out!
We packed up camp early in the morning before the sun started beating down directly on us but before we left we had a great breakfast with some pancakes, bacon and eggs!

Not needed but pay attention to what your driving over, there are some spots of soft sand when you get closer to the water, we got one of the cars stuck that way lol Thanks for watching!

@@GEMSTONE74 Hi Gemma, sorry i'm not going to share those. This is one of those spots that you gotta get out and find but I will tell you this, if you look on Google maps and look around Nine Mile cove you will find this cove and the road leading into it via Satellite maps. Google won't even bring you to this location properly even if you had the exact coordinates (I tried - it brings you to a different cove and has you walk to this spot). Cheers!
