      vegetables like Tomatoes and Potatoes would not have been part of ancestral Indian culture since they were introduced only a few centuries ago. However look at how they have been incorporated into Indian cuisine today. There is nothing wrong with looking at other cultures for ideas or inspiration.

    • @lillysummer3546
      @lillysummer3546 3 года назад +10

      @@Shaun81000 the belief that old should be replaced by new is a concept that developed 200 years ago. The Portuguese introduced Tomatoes 400 years ago. Indians replaced Tamarind with Tomatoes just because it was “modern”. When whole villages in Andhra Pradesh came down with fluorosis. They came to know that drinking water had large amount of natural fluoride and that same Tamarind was binding fluoride and preventing it from entering the body before it got replaced to Tomatoes. The fluorosis caused permanent crippling deformities. All good Ayurvedic doctors in India the first thing that they do is give them a list of things to avoid and the main thing in it is potatoes. So don’t even try again to tell Indians that potatoes and tomatoes are any good. All it did was bring indigestion. We don’t want anymore British Raj ideas. The country that was run on business and turned them into 80% farming till cutting off the weaver’s fingers and hands. Talking of other cultures, we let people in from the Middle East into our India when Afghanistan Pakistan and Bangladesh that use to be a part of our country, your idea made us not only lose parts of our lands but today Hindu women get raped in West Bengal by people who believe that “kaafir women are slaves”. New Indians hate their own culture and last thing we want to do is teach them that they need to “look at other cultures”, “look at other cultures for ideas and inspiration” no we do NOT! We still face sexism because those other cultures brought their filth. In fact they took idea and inspiration from us and turned Yoga into “booty yoga”. Do me a favor. I don't know where you got that info but let me tell you westerners eat like kings even the poor have the choice to buy and cook goid meals. I enjoy both Indian and American foods. I also eat Mexican, Chinese, Korean, Greek, Mediterranean, Italian, and other Ethnic foods which are available in abundance here. You are misinformed!

      we have to add more protein (vegetarian) in our diet. An adult need protein like if your weight is 60 kilos then you need between 40 to 50 grams of protein.
