The issue is that outside your garage is unsealed and the fine dust particles blow in when you open the garage door to ventilate it. You really need a sealed paint booth with proper filtration to avoid the junk in the clear coat. Awesome job Dany, glad that you show us the good, the bad and the ugly.

So being at home and not having a good paint booth can be challenging. Set aside the floors but the walls, ceiling, and ANYTHING in the prep area will have collected dust to get into the paint job. For being a one man band 99% of the time you did great. Be proud.. I would of had run city..lol. Stay safe and be well!

I see there are thumps down. Just because it is something you are not interested in don't mean you give him a thumbs down. Give him a chance to show you what he is doing.Danny is a great guy. He works hard to give us content. Its all good stuff. So no thumbs down. If you don't like it don't comment.
Tell him your opinion nicely. If it is constructive maybe he will try it. So be nice. No thumbs down ok.

Good man Danny. If you throw some water on the floor before you paint it can help eliminate a lot of dust. As is with the fan sucking and air/paint are working like a vaccum lifting all the dust from the floor.

The truck is looking good!!! Thank you for not editing out the oops! That stuff happens to everyone. The difference is you’re man enough to leave it in there and not edit it out . All you can do is say o-well and fix it!!! Remember it’s never a “Mistake “ it’s just another learning experience!!!! Great Job love the videos

I think you did a fine job, black is the hardest color to make it right. I noticed that you have a lot of air flowing through your shop, you may want to see if you can cut down the air flow. That should help with the dust flying around. Looking forward to see what you end up with!

A good tip is leaving the garage door shut every time you open it invites debris into the garage especially since you have a gravel driveway and grassy yard best thing to do is leave the garage shut with your exhaust fan on in the floor wet spray your clear and then go out of the garage and leave that door shut

You may be able to fit a cut to sizes air filter and put it to suction side of your fan to help with dirt getting on your painted cars and parts.

In the garage door to my shop I cut out 2 square holes and constructed some rails so I could use furnace filters while painting so the door can be shut. I just remove the panels each time, slide a new filter into the slots, wet everything down inside the shop and pull in the vehicle or parts and paint. Lot less impurities in the paint and clear. I also have a filter system that my air line goes through before it gets to the paint gun so not getting impurities that way also. Hopefully these might be some ideas that you can use...

Try to seal the space between the walls and the ground with some cloth nets for bugs, I understand you left the space for drafting purposes but you need to find a way to filter out that space. Great job as always.

The trash in the paint is unavoidable in that type of environment. I always turn the fan off as soon as the mist in the air is gone. Wet sanding is your friend :)

the plastic with a fan blowing will trash the clear...use masking paper at least 18" from the painted panel. the roll up door cracked up is making a draft so dirt is coming from the floor
