Awesome build, I specially like the clips of working in the grass on your back and improvising a little lol I can def appreciate that! Did a lot of this on my 2000 Sierra, it wasn't easy. Looks great though, look forward to more
The truck looks amazing- it’s the first GMC of that era that I like the look of. However, repairing rust holes with bondo?!?! Yeah, that’s gonna hold up 😂
@rickelliott5947 it came out well for my first attempt at body work and paint. I wish i had clear coated it after but it wasn't a big deal. The hardest part was cleaning up the tape lines. I should of done a black base coat/primer first
@rickelliott5947 nothing on youtube. I recently sold it; best thing i would say is if you got barn doors the raptor does not like the hinges. Mine did come off from regular use openning it but otherwise it was pretty easy to do. They say you dont need to do perfect body work but i could of done a better job making mine smoother i could notice some of it
Absolutely amazing🤘 what did you cut/fabricate with the front bumper/frame? Did you have to wet sand the paint/clearcoat? Is this an lb7? How much was the tune? Cost and hp? Super cool!
Hey man, glad you like the build! We have a full series of videos that explains everything about the front bumper, paint and tune! Have a look and let us know if all your questions are answered!
Glad you like it! We found it on marketplace a couple years ago. We have a parts truck that has a pretty good 8’ bed if you’re interested. Not sure how close you are to Ottawa though.
this is awesome guys. I'll be in the Ottawa area in a few weeks, I'll be keeping an eye out. Im not quite as handy as you guys but I have an 03 LB7 Silverado that im going to convert to a Sierra and have some minor body work, swap the bed then have it painted (colour undecided). can you please provide me with the name of the tint you used for the door handles and the fender liners? what did you used for the frame coating -- going to need that after pulling the bed, taking a steel brush tot he frame then putting it al back together.
Glad you like the truck! Hope everything goes well with yours. For the trim, we used Adam’s Black trim restorer. For the frame, we used Fluid film black.
No the cat eye hoods don’t fit. It’s a hood from a Chevy 2500HD that we modified to fit. Have a look at Episode 10 of the truck build. We show exactly how we did it.
It’s a trim piece that comes on all 2500 and 3500 grills because the front bumper is installed lower than on the 1500s. It fills the gap between the grill and bumper. It’s part of the grill assembly.
Underrated, most definitely. Beautiful work, love the paint. Keep it up!
Thanks! Glad you like it!

Thanks, glad you liked the video! We have a lot more cool projects in the queue, stay tuned 🤘
One of the best restorations of the LB7 on RUclips!
Love it! 👏🏽🤟🏽
Glad you like it!!
Killer transformation!
Thank you!
Looks mint! The hood and paint especially just look so sick. Great compilation.
Thanks man, glad you like it!
This is the first video I’ve seen from y’all’s channel, I’m glad I found it! That was awesome
Right on, glad you enjoyed it! We have more cool projects on the way 🤘

That gmc looks like a new truck now 👍
It sure does!
looks great!!
Thanks!
Amazing job. Super motivating as i am about to start the body work/paint on my 2500 suburban. Just waiting on some warm weather!
Right on! Good luck with your project!
I have a 2500 suburban as well would love to see the progress of yours.

@@theSvrh you got any videos or pictures? Would love to see it. I have a 03 suburban 2500 and I’m in the process of getting mine ready for body work

Very good looking truck and perfect job 👌👌👌👌
Thank you!
wish I could redo my truck lol
Could you do videos where you are explaining what you’re doing to the vehicle as you work on it?
We actually did this! We have a full 11-episode playlist that explains the entire build.
You cleaned the tires then smeared the whole thing turd brown. Hope you like it.
Absolutely amazing🤘 what did you cut/fabricate with the front bumper/frame? Did you have to wet sand the paint/clearcoat?

I have that exact truck but in silver and zero rust. Like the front bumper swap and hood. Curious about the hood tho looks like you modified it
Have a look at Episode 10 of the truck build series. We show exactly how to swap the hood from a Chevy 2500HD
@Motorbolt awesome! Just came across your channel. Cool stuff!
Is that stock height or are you running a lift kit ?
We’re running a 3” lift from Rough Country
Love the paint what cooor is that????❤
It’s called desert tan. We have a full episode of the painting process on our channel if you want to learn more!
Yoooo this is awesome! Where did you get the new bed? I’m looking for an 8 footer too
Glad you like it! We found it on marketplace a couple years ago. We have a parts truck that has a pretty good 8’ bed if you’re interested. Not sure how close you are to Ottawa though.

What mudflaps are those. Maybe I missed it!
They’re universal mud flaps from Rallyarmor. You can learn more about them in Episode 6 of the truck build video series.
What's the hood?
What tunes are you running on the truck I want it for my truck
Check out Episode #8 in the truck build playlist. We give details about the tune
Where did you find the headlights and taillights?
truckpartsuperstore.ca
Sweet build how long did this take
Too long 😂 We didn’t count the hours, but it was 2-year process altogether.
@@Motorbolt dang well looks great ima try to clean mine up a bit needs injectors and some other stuff at the moment that she’s good to go
@@bryden_smith right on, well good luck with everything!
Is it paint, pasti dip or bedliner
It’s plasti-dip. If you look at Episode 11 of the truck build playlist, we go into detail about the paint job.
Where did you get the hood off of, a cat eye?
No the cat eye hoods don’t fit. It’s a hood from a Chevy 2500HD that we modified to fit. Have a look at Episode 10 of the truck build. We show exactly how we did it.
Ditch the music and it would be a good video.
What is that added piece to the bottom of the grill where can i find one
It’s a trim piece that comes on all 2500 and 3500 grills because the front bumper is installed lower than on the 1500s. It fills the gap between the grill and bumper. It’s part of the grill assembly.
Looks great but why not take cab and bed off and rust proof it and clean it up
We did!
around how much for this transformation?
It’s hard to put a price on it. We salvaged lots of parts from another truck and fabricated some stuff ourselves.
Is the paint plasti dip
Yes it is. If you watch Episode 11 of the truck build playlist, we show the painting process and describe what we used.
What plastic tint is that
We used Adam’s Black trim restorer.
Where can I get the lower bumper?
We got ours at the junk yard! You can likely find some on Facebook Marketplace
What's the name of the choice of paint
It’s Desert Tan Plasti Dip. Have a look at Episode 11 of the truck build playlist. We go into detail about the paint.
i love the video just really wish the music was not in the video. would be better to hear the video and not music
Not a huge fan off Matt trucks… but whatever floats ur boat I guess!
To each their own!
Horrible color but whatever
