A patient has rights in a hospital that conflict with the hospitals patient rules. Hospitals hire mentally insane individuals who suffer anger issues and work in all different hospital areas because they look good on paper and have a degree but the hospital doesn't check into them hard like they should to see social media posts that are insane, criminal records thatake one cringe. All this needs changing so hospitals will change for the better.
I agree. Thorough psychological testing should also be mandatory for *all* hospital personnel that have any type of patient contact. While I think most staff are professional and ethical, there are many others who are not.
Including 15% of medical staff are chemically addicted (drugs or alcohol). That doesn't include character disorders like narcissism. Demand background checks and perform Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory 2 tests.
This family is beyond destroyed, my heart is broken for them all, that poor desperate mother who was driven to utter helplessness is gut wrenching….This family will never be the same, and how in the world will they ever be able to trust ANY medical professional ❤fromTX
Maya is so strong and sweet. The whole family have gone through a lot. I pray that they are healed. Hope there will be law regulations to prevent something like this happen again. I feel that there might be some cover up from the hospital staff. Perhaps when time went by, in the second month or so on they already knew the truth (Maya is ill and has CRPS) but tried to cover their mistakes up. Otherwise why Maya can't talk to other kids?
This doctor who caused this should lose his license and go to prison for murder! It’s the most evil thing that I’ve ever heard and it’s a lot more common than you think. Doctors think they are Gods and they are so very far from perfect. This type of actions is why many people have lost all faith in the medical system.
This is beyond disgusting. Really? She was not even allowed to talk to other kids? And the hospital fraudulently claimed she doesn't want to speak to her parents on her freaking behalf? Well done upholding the Hippocratic Oath.
2:26 The lawyer shouldn’t have asked her if she wanted water during her crying about her mom and the necklace. The jury needed to see her pain until she was ready to speak again. The lawyer said “have some water”. That interrupted the moment.
I agree. I've noticed many instances where he interrupted the moment and rushed the witness, or abruptly asked another question. His timing isn't the best, unfortunately. Often silence is very powerful, or a bombshell statement needs a few seconds to really sink in. I'm not saying there hasn't been incredibly powerful testimony, just that if he really honed in on his timing, the testimony would have even more impact and poignancy.
I think the phrase “have some water” is a way to keep her calm in a very upsetting situation. They don’t want her to totally loose it. That wouldn’t be good in this situation l

I won't say all, but many of the "social workers" are disgusting crooks.
I had a horrific experience with hospital social workers as well. I went in for pain due to my Crohns disease and they thought I was suicidal and lying.
