Thank you for asking Maya about her mom. As a mom who was shocked by what John Hopkins Children’s hospital did to Maya, her mother, brother, father and entire family I long to know more about Beata and to celebrate her life, which she sacrificed to save her daughter. Knowing Maya considers herself a carbon copy of her mother warms my heart. Now I feel like I have met Beata, through Maya. As a long sufferer of CRPS, this case breaks my heart but I’m not surprised by the hospitals actions. I’ve had it since 2010 and I’ve been treated super poorly by all doctors especially pain related. It’s horrible and the change in the drug laws absolutely have not helped us as chronic pain patients 😢
I totally agree about the pain drug law being all over the place. Following some decades of really lax prescribing practices (I remember the top doctor in my city giving my mom an oxy rx with endless refills for regular menstrual cramps when I was a kid, no questions asked by pharmacists either!) they arbitrarily tighten up in unpredictable ways and destabilize pain management practices… in ways that only affect the legitimate businesses/pain mgmt practices who follow the rules and do nothing for the shady great area pill mills with a money hungry MD at the helm - that still do exist. Absolutely has only made street drug use rates increase, fent in high demand to cut fake pills….
As a fellow CRPS sufferer since 2005 (they called it RSD back then) this case broke my heart as well, and everything else you mention aligns with my experience also. It’s a difficult condition to navigate physically and as a challenge with the medical community.

This was truly the worst case of medical abuse by a paediatrician and social worker! They are still showing no remorse and such arrogance that makes me highly doubtful of professional medical integrity. As a medical specialist myself, this was extremely disturbing! I am also extremely shocked that a JUDGE would deny a mother/ child hug - the last straw that broke Beata Kowalski's heart. He is just as guilty for his lack of compassion.

How many years did she spend in the hospital ?
❤❤❤❤❤ to you Maya and your Dad and brother
Maya ♥ you are strong girl. Your mummy is proud of you in heaven
something's not right with this girl.... "all" extremities... "whole" body... "stomach pain" etc. all things that cannot be disputed as they are all subjective. There's a lot of doubt here
She’s set for life but still not worth the death of a loved one
You are so beautiful n young, I watched your Netflix documentary and it got me soo angry. Your mum loved u n we love her. I hope your allowed privacy
I didn't watch the SA, I can't
Disgusting what was done to Dr Kowalski
WHO IS DR kOWALSKI? None of the Kowalski's are doctors. Beata Kowalski was an RN. Beautiful soul that sacrificed her life to get their attention and release her daughter.
@@reubenvries8807 doctor , nurse whatever. It’s despicable what was done to her
I wish john Hopkins would just take there loss. it would suit them to admit that they did something wrong. and it would suit them to give this family some peace after all this misery THEY caused.
That juror wasn't biased he was just mad after all he heard in court!! That a different thing 🤷🏼♀️ he would be biased if he went in with knowledge he shouldn't have but that is not the case. He just went hating her just like we all did for the harm she brought on this family. I hope she gets the same treatment wherever she goes 🤮

@@poxylandgamesers959 I'm far away from you, don't worry
But the truth is still the truth, even if you hate it, there are those who accept it
Maya is very beautiful.
It is NOT "John Hopkins", it is "Johns Hopkins", lol!
Yeah cause that's the really important part. 🤦♀️
No….no, actually, it’s *John Shopkins.*
No John’s Dropkids!!!
@@KKMS1 all prisoners 😉…. I come from the fox-den😘
All of you are incorrect; All Children's Johns Hopkins
They're trying to beat around the bush what a bunch of s***
Wish the interviewer could have at least pronounced the mother’s name correctly!
miss Maya has fantastic hair

Why is that guy using an alienware laptop? Closet gamer!

Did the hospital closed forever?..i hope...they're evil...
Surely you jest! The medical establishment is VERY POWERFUL! It's all about MONEY AND POWER! In 2022, the AMA spent over $21 million on federal lobbying, the seventh most of any organization in the U.S.
It still isn't worth 211 million. The balance of wealth is crazy in this country! One person does not need that much money
i agree. i believe she was owed by the hospital's malparactice but 200 million? nobody needs that kind of money fr
Punitive damages. The thought is that if a big company is forced to pay let's say 1 million, they won't care to address the issues that led to the victims injury.
@@nicholasgee9127 I understand three or five million maybe but giving one person that much money is ridiculous
@@eurodiaz3712
I agree. That is the reason why courts award such high amounts. But that doesn't mean she will get it. It usually is appealed and a settlement is much lower.
@@eurodiaz3712point is when Company Lose a lot of money, than they make Research. Why or who is responsable.
She seems very strange with her behaviour in this Interview. Maybe it's just me....but maybe she's been traumatized through everything that has happened. Has she always been this way when answering questions about this case? Perhaps it's related to her condition. I don't mean to be ignorant...her demenior seems odd, flat response when she answers. I haven't followed the case all the way through.
Then be quiet. Your opinion is useless
They are a really deranged family. Yet they have the moral compass of People magazine and a bloated Netflix special
She's got a long road to heal from all the trauma and is probably still in shock when she's not crying she's like having an out of body experience from it all... it's a common response
My advice is: Maybe you should follow the case all the way through.
Welcome to USA
Her Father Put her up to this!!!!
Bad vibes from her lawyer.
go after the hospital for the murder of their mother and for the abuse the children suffered at the hands of the hospital perverts..
The mom was not murdered, she chose to end her life.

Muriel Shoal
So Matthew Perry died of acute ketamine effects... Interesting.
Yes, infusions just like she was receiving. Sad.
Watch the documentary. Every. Body. Is. Different.
AND some people develop tolerance.
So they say.. who knows right, they could just be using him/ that story and it's timing to throw shade on a medical procedure the AMA and big pharma isn't on board with... but they still are silent on so many other things like Flouride.
Notice how she doesn’t look like the sick poor little girl she was during the trial?.. 🙄
Well obviously 🤨
Hu? She just wasn't wearing much make up during the trial and has a naturally very pale or ghastly complexion, nothing sickly about it, she probably wasn't eating or sleeping well during the trial due to the stress. What you see here is her wearing makeup and healthy, but mostly makeup.
A grown man making these comments about a 17 year old girl tells us enough about you. You should get help.
In a case like this, you wouldn't want your client to look healthy during the trial.
@@jeanpascucci5548You have a valid point. You are coached to give the impression to help win your case. Perhaps the performance of your life.
Sooooo.... the girl didn't suffer any further after her mom died. Are we not supposed to think about that part!!! It doesn't make sense.
Wouldnt matter how down i was or how hard things get i would never take my life. Maybe going through cancer treatment and doing all to stay alive makes me think that. I think the mum has caused more grief then anyone.
She killed herself because she knew they'd not let mya go home as long as she was there.
It wasn't entirely about worry over Maya. Her husband and their son took the stance of ( let's not ruffle the feathers of the hospital ) Beata probably also felt betrayed by her family. Even though they held an important opinion.
They let her go home very shortly after
If she was ugly she would’ve been forgotten
So sad but true!
