    I love mine. I just put my ezv on my new bow my new redwrx. And my likes it and wants one so we are getting her set up on a ezv sight as well. Great sights. Im gonna try shooting a round of spots with it. As far as hunting goes ill never take pins and a range finder to the woods again. Ive had these now for a yr and they are awesome. I think personally you can be just as consistent as a .19 pin sight.

    • @RanchFairy
      @RanchFairy  6 лет назад

      Chad Charbonneau
      It’s fantastic. 2nd and 3rd axis are essentially eliminated due to the vertical nature of the V. Your brain does the vertical, pins cannot float.
      I’ve shot 4 pigs from tree stands, 10-16 feet high - all inside 20. They died

  • @josephtreadlightly5686
    @josephtreadlightly5686 Год назад

    My brain can pickup if the V is just a little off when I change the insert b4 I even shoot. In theory the same process is happening when u r about to shoot. When u have pin float it's similar. I've shot alot of recurve so I like an open sight window compared to a small & obstructed sight window. I could never shoot horizontal pins. My brain won't allow it.

    It the same concept as we use in military optics like certain versions of the ACOG. It has a built in BDC (bullet drop compensator) and the space between the points is equal to the average width of your target, and then adjusted for distance. The average person is 17 inches shoulder to shoulder, in the ACOG the each hash Mark is equal to 17 inches at 100, 200, 300 yards and so on out to 700...

    • @RanchFairy

      Brad Young
      As with anything, he accepted comments from owners and improvements. Scope is thinner - sight is lighter and improved a few things here and there. He also has just now released much narrower V’s so you can see the target better. Been shooting it day and night for almost 3 years. If you want meat. It’s honestly a fantastic fast acquisition bowhunting sight.

    @zilla6990 5 лет назад

    What about hunting from a treestand? Do you still need to aim a tad low?

    • @RanchFairy
      @RanchFairy  5 лет назад +1

      Brian Clark
      The highest stand I’ve shot from is 12 feet - short trees and brush at test lab. I’ve run arrows from 550 to 1035 grains. Shots 15-25. I have not consciously aimed low -
      But my intended point of impact on any shot - broadside - is always about 2” above the elbow, straight up leg - in front of crease. Every video with the exception of the 125 grain bishop pig kill is using the EZV. If you run higher than that - holler at Aaron at EZV. He’s in Montana. I hear they have trees there.

    I absolutely get what you mean by, your brain does the math, or figures it out. When you shoot recurve you start see that you dont think about it - your brain just does it. Same with driving a car, riding a bike, anything you do over and over. You dont actively think about how to turn your car after driving for a while, you just learned to do it.

    • @RanchFairy

      Kyran Iwaskow
      I haven’t - it has caused me numerous animals late and very early, I’ve had a couple slip and rotate poorly, tubes break, at night time, pig hunting a huge issue. So for me. When I removed it - all of that went away. If it fails or can fail hunting - I try to keep it simple.

      Ranch Fairy thanks for the reply. Just found your channel today after getting some arrows set up that don’t work. Ordering some new components and building them myself next time. Thank you for all the tuning tips. Any tips on shooting without a peep? I am going to remove mine.

      Add a kisser button 1” above d loop, large size, when you draw - that hits corner of your mouth and nose touches the string. Give it a rip!!! You may have to change zero slightly.

    Perhaps a trip to a range [and distance] which is unfamiliar to the shooter would promote [and demonstrate] this product better. Have to say it: not at all sold so far.

    • @RanchFairy
      @RanchFairy  6 лет назад

      Jon Becker
      Mr Becker, that’s ok. This video is at a 3 D range, we swapped bows, new shooter, and shot whitetail distance(20-35), except for the lion, it’s 50+. I’ve been using EZV for 18 months and have killed numerous animals, on video, with arrows from 500-1075 grains. EZV is very versatile.
      As far as equipment goes. One of the keys, I figure, for successful bow hunting, is to use what gives you confidence. Have a great day and thanks for watching.

    • @jonbecker9393
      @jonbecker9393 6 лет назад

      I could not agree with you more; confidence is the key . If I could make one suggestion, it would be to offset the colors between the level line (bubble) and the V collar insert----say, green on blue, blue against orange, etc. Equipment must be tested, especially in warfare (1 Samuel 17:38-39).

    • @jonbecker9393
      @jonbecker9393 6 лет назад

      Additionally, as I approach making my initial EZV purchase, I wonder what you'd recommend for a user/shooter: 331 IBO, 28.5" Draw length, 27.5" (340 spine GT ValkyrieXT) 491 grain arrow (18-20% FOC), and 270-275 fps. What model EZV fits best this scenario? Thank you (although not obligated).

    3D target scoring rings suck for hunting practice. They're often not in the right place for broadside shots, and totally useless for judging most quartering shots.

      If you randomly walk around your shooting range, without a rangefinder, and shoot by guessing...you'll see the difference. A 2' group in the center of his chest will produce a double lung, ethical shot, everytime...from full draw position..WAY better than guessing!

    • @jsmitty2047
      @jsmitty2047 6 лет назад

      the grouping sucks for the guy who was shooting the Halon 6. It was his first time using the sight so he wasn't adjusted to the sight, any sight will take a little getting used to. I tell my hunting buddies, I don't care if you shoot dime size groups on a target or not. This sight allows you to put it in the Kill Zone every time. It is also much faster than, using a range finder, then adjusting your pin, the animal moves and you either have to guess or reset.

      Not a gimmick. Switched from my viper. I was very very reluctant. I have an eye disease called keratoconus.i would get a really bad glare we hen trying to focus on pins. This solved my problem instantly. Was shooting grouping sub 2 in at 30 and 40 yards withing an hour of mounting. I'm damn happy with it.
