The way Jackie said that she was treated as the co-founder of her brand when she walked into certain rooms with Dennis and she would get ignored, I felt that in my soul. I remember once going with my father to purchase a car for myself and I brought him along only because I wanted to make sure I was not being sold a lemon. I wanted a used car because he always told me that purchasing a brand new car didn't make sense since vehicles depreciate significantly the moment they are driven off the lot, however I wanted a nice used car and I wanted to make sure it ran good and was in excellent condition and he is the only man I trust to help me with this task. At any rate, the vehicle was for me and it was being paid for by me, however so many times the salesmen wouldn't even talk to me, most times even after being told that the car was for me!! It was so infuriating. He does not know if I like this car and he has absolutely no say so in if a certain car is going to get purchased other than to say yes this one is in very good condition or it's not. So we left several lots until we came across a sales team that understood she's the one with the money and he's the tagalong and not the other way around.
Pioneer is such a perfect word to describe Jackie’s influence. Her reach is literally global. I love seeing the way other people from all over the world have similar stories of learning from Jackie. I love that we were introduced to her in the RUclips era before short form content came around. That community building really is so beautiful
