Pokemon Sword Shield - The reason we can't breed with legendaries, The answer from GameFreak.

Hello Fellow Crownies,
A lot of people ask why it is not possible to breed with legendaries, well in this video you see the exact reason why.
Legendaries do not have any gender, besides in the universe you play they dont come from an evolution or anything like an egg.
Except for the mythical pokemon called manaphy that has an unusual ability to breed.
So i hope i have been answering the question that you guys wanted to have an answer on.

Probaly is not because they dont have a gender because heatram have gender heatram can be female and male

Yeah but most legendaries cant be bred, i know that some do have genders

the only legendaries you can breed are solgaleo and lunala

Cause of Cosmog i know i know but most of them are not breedable... Since lorewise there is not more then 1 in a universe
