Kool G Rap might not be a billionaire but hes still got his soul. Big up to G Rap one of my favorite rappers!!
The BK Beats Channel but whats a millionaire to a LEGEND. Cuz no amount of money can buy the RESPECT that G Rap has!! 💪🏽
Kool G Rap was The man till Biggie
@@abygonzalez1680 Kool G Rap has always been the man, the Legend, the GOAT. Biggie is a very good rapper (but not as good as everyone makes out)
@@abygonzalez1680 Kool G Rap is still the man right now. When Biggie came out I bought a G Rap album too. It was called 456. Go check it out. Nobody can f wit G Rap 2 me.
He aint even a millionaire never mind a billionaire
I Like how he said Pac didnt care about being the best rapper or the best lyricist .. instead describing him as a movement ... a revolutionist without a revolution.. like he was bigger than all that .. and he was right

You mean slim shady
Tupac was literally every where in the 90s, everybody has a story about him
Truth. My friend, a pretty girl-around-the-way...not a public figure. She told us she went to a houseparty Uptown, a regular apartment in tha Hood, and *who* was in there...on the dance-floor in the living-room partying with everybody else...? #Tupac! ...and he was near a living Legend then!
Nigga was little but he got around
@@hajakabba6325 he was really able to hold his own 💯
People say its hard selling used stuff on craigslist. I bet it would be way harder to sell to 2 pac. Hed be like: but seriously, you want $100 for this bike.????

Your favorite rapper's favorite rapper's favorite rapper

That's not true because rakim is seriously your favorite rappers rapper
He's father fo most of the rapper of that 90's era , e love so much....Clearly PERIOD , him & rakim.
@@Lolife86 just rakim...kooll g rap didn't innovate anything lyrically or flow wise or word play..read rakim's new book called sweat the technique..
U wildin, even today Kool G Rap is more relevant than Rakim
the man is a legend.
Respect for giving the god 40 minutes well deserved
sinematic06 yeap
Most underrated rapper of all time. RAKIM, KANE, AND G-RAP are the GOATS. They changed the way everybody spit on a massive scale. If you under 45 years old, and not from NY or the tri state area, and wasnt a fan of hip hop during that era, as much as you think you know, you will NEVER understand.
Theses dudes birthed "modern" rap. There was a before these three and after these three. Will somebody surpass them, probably, but we still live on the strength of how they changed what we expect out of lyricism.
💯 FACTS.. I’m sick of teens-20yr olds telling me blah blah blah, NOPE, us OG-ers 40 yrs plus (I’m 45) know the history, the beefs, raps, freestyles etc.. I’m from Uk and followed rap/hip hop since I was 14. 2 pac was MC NewYork , and shyeim when he was 14 etc, daddy Kane, totally different to modern mumble jumble

Kool G Rap is THEE blueprint for some of the grimey 90's best NY emcees...
From the complex, multisyllabic rhyme schemes to the mafioso imagery, fly baller talk and slick af sex/gun bars, he set a stylistic standard, beginning in the mid to late 80's, that many of the greats happily paid homage and to this very can also go bar for bar, with ANYONE, from any ERA!! #GOAT
Without DJ Kool Herc, Run DMC, KRS One, Kool G Rap, Rakim, Big Daddy Kane & LL Cool J, we wouldn’t have no Nas, Jadakiss, Styles P, Biz Markie, DMX, Big Pun, Big L, Biggie, 2pac, Mobb Deep, Onyx, Black Moon, Jeru The Damaja, Naughty By Nature, Wu Tang, The List Goes On.
R.I.P To The Legends They Gave Us 🙏

Kool G Rap the man, the myth, the legend...
living legend underrated MC
This man was definitely underrated! Slept on. His flows was crucial!!!!!
Pun’s flow is similar like G Rap’s flow on how he rhymes
Much love from Mississippi to Kool G Rap! Dude is a legend
Kool G is in my top 5 of all time.
I never understood when people made the argument that Tupac wasnt a lyricist when he never had a bad line. So many rappers, even the most lyrical rappers, had bad lines that were cringe and considered bad, but they ignore it. People claim DMX was lyrical and he has the lowest vocabulary of all time if u compare him to the popular known rappers according to a study made by Matt Daniels.
The weird shit bout people saying DMX is lyrical and Pac wasnt is that DMX used a similar flow and delivery like Pac and dats really confusing. People say Biggie was so much lyrical than Pac but what made Biggie great was his flow rather than his lyrics, Big's ability to ride a beat like a saxophone was unique in hip hop and his lyrics became almost secondary. Also, people say Ice Cube and Scarface were lyricist, but they were similar to Tupac because they had simplistic flows, were storytellers, and had content/message.
Ice Cube and Scarface werent rappers dat used a lot of wordplay, using different syllables, having metaphors/punchlines compared to other rappers, they were straight-forward rappers just like Pac. People have this weird obsession to not give Pac credit, whats wrong wit saying Tupac was lyrical? I respect Kool G Rap's opinion on Tupac not being lyrical, but it gets tiring when people say the same shit about Pac, it seems like an agenda. Look up the lyrics Tupac has, it has so many shit hes talking whether its religion, making peace among thugs and the community, trying to make business in the hood and passing money to the next generation, etc. Pac's lyrics are deeper than what people think and people dont dig deep, they just go by popular opinion and its tiring hearing people say the same diatribe.
your favorite rappers, favorite rapper
Rakim' is your favorite rappers rapper not G rap

2pac was a lyricist and everyone try to down play it cause he was the most successful
Yeah bro, people only listen to his popular music,he is a lyrical genius

@Aaron9 you clearly haven't listened to a Tupac album he definitely wasn't limited with vocab, that was a horrible take.

Raw flows is different from spitting words, pac is a writer, story teller, of course he is a lyricist but not on the level of BIG, Nas, Pun, G rap.

Thanks Kool for keeping things positive. Thanks Hot97 for taking Hip Hop back to the real reality and less of the nonsense. Powerful.
This interview hits close to home a bit. I was part of the Illstreet Records street team for G'Raps 'Roots of Evil' album. Illstreet Records is family to me to this day. Lots and lots of awesome memories. All that aside, I believe that the difference between 2Pac & Biggie is the same difference between an MC & a Rapper, 2Pac was a rapper, a street minister, poet, teacher & a revolutionary activist... Biggie was an entertainer first and foremost... and a legendary one at that. Tupac had some extraordinary lyrical skills but the messages were almost always front and center in his music.
Sooooo much respect for this Legend!!!
For all the youngins go listen to his verse on sway and techs "The anthem". Top 5 verse of all time. Impeccable flow and rhymin.
Dope verse, but top 5 all time? That wasnt even a top 20 G rap verse..

Excellent excellent interview yo.....much respect to the legend G RAP.
I like this interview. they were really analyzing what went on and when the paradigm shift took place. There was suddenly a moment where now everyone wants the rappers to live out every lyric. I like how they explored the reasons for it.

It's a pleasure hearing so many foundation stories. He took it back to before million dollar deals multimillion dollar images. Unfortunately that's what people are nowadays they are a brand not a person, not a real story. They used to be a program that said that they were 8 million stories in the naked city G Rap took us back to that kind of beauty and grit.
