Thanks for not overcomplicating this. I'm going to try this with my son for a toy six shooter and this video was exactly what I was looking for. I can't thank you enough. Keep up the great work!!!
If you use a file folder, it already has a fold and it's heavy enough to re-use indefinitely. Also, if you draw the front side, then trace it onto the other side, you can draw and cut the belt loop out of the back side without having to tape it on.
@@nicholaskindred929 please do post it. That’d be great to see. I’m working on one for my .22LR Single Six. Ummm, yea, I had the template backward, and on the wrong side of the leather. Oops. I was so tired that night. Haha
Not to my knowledge. If I needed to do it, I would put the same ink on a scrap piece and try to remove it with rubbing alcohol and a q-tip. But thats just my best guess.
That's one of the first guys I've seen that actually makes a holster pattern that fits the gun.
I'm sure he's had a lot of practice, considering he does it for a living. 🙃

This was a great tutorial. Thank you, Daniel and Gavin for putting this episode out there for us.
That's so cool, but so simple, two thumbs-up. Good work
Good Video. Like you said if you haven’t been asked to make a holster for a gun, you will. It’s just a matter of time. Thank you Daniel and Gavin.
Thanks for the video
Ive used a few of his acrylic patterns and watched probably every vid of his. He is awesome!
I have an original smith and Wesson from the 1870s-1890s that is impossible to find a holster for now. Thanks this helps.

Very easy. Thank you!
Beautiful ❤.
Thank you , that's pretty helpful. Would like to make one for my smw. 357 , 8 3/8 ". Now I can.
Would love to see it when you're done.
@@TheLeatherverse the one question I forgot to ask is , what thickness would you recommend?
@@nicholaskindred929 I'd shoot for an 8-10oz.
@@TheLeatherverse thank you , didn't want it so stiff like a board. Wasn't sure so thank you & will post when done

nice and easy.
Is there a good way to remove pen ink from the face side of leather?

Might try using an edgebeveled. If the ink is on the edge.
I only use pencil on the front of leather ink or paint marker on the back
I couldn't find the pattern in the links 😢
Because there are so many types of guns, we can't offer a free pattern, so instead the video shows you how to make your own. 😉
now i need one for a kentucky flintlock pistol
