Every deck got to go off, nobody was too oppressive, this is the kind of game we love to see. Would like liked to see a bit more from the Belbe deck, but Obeka going off made up for it.
I similarly would have liked to see more from the Belbe deck :) The early hate from JLK into having to discard almost my entire hand from the Plague Crafter really set me back. Still a really fun game though!
@@joshmurphy484 I was looking forward to this episode so much because i'm building Belbe as well. The hate from Josh was so bad that after you died I closed the episode out. I'm sorry we couldn't see more of the deck! It was kind of was a bummer and made me super salty at Josh moving forward.
@@sasukeds Ok but you do see that JLK was forced into directing everything he could into removing Murph as he dies to the sanctum trigger if he fails to do so. It was excellent use of the Lich triggers by Ashlen to put him in that spot and direct his attention away from her going into the late-game. Really powerful plays by all decks and a fun watch.
@@MrOHKO Yes I agree on that part! However Josh was directing his hate all game at Murph which was a huge bummer to see him targeted like that when there are other threats. Josh even mentions that Murph is his enemy early in the game, so he might have locked in on the Belbe deck.

I love the fact that Josh and Jimmy constantly tell everyone to "Always pay the one", yet almoust nobody pays for the rhystic study during this game xd
To have fun, use the fact that rhystic study says may and choose not to draw
I consider this a mistake now in my games not to pay the one. better delay a little your gameplan than make opponents draw a ton of cards. Especially when it's their only one draw engine
There's a moment when ladee could've taken hullbreacher to at least stop josh's card draw engine for a while, she took the clique...
@@TroostDesigned There is also Ashleen reanimating her wonder (which works only in the graveyard) while she could reanimate solemn simulacrum (with her panarmonicon on the board)
Weird decisions sometimes
There were several opportunities where Ladee and Ashlen had available mana or could have afforded to not play other spells to prevent Josh from drawing and that was a little frustrating
Love me some Extra Turns! Also really digging the playmat choice. They're super clean and showcase the cards beautifully.

you gotta feel it out sometimes....usually you go for the suboptimal play just so you can pay the 1....but you cant fall behind just so they can draw cards...its pretty obnoxious that way
I love how Josh's sleeves blend in with his mat so he seemingly draws from nothing lmao
His Power is so great he doesn't need a deck to draw cards.
That's the true value engine right there, just draw whenever you feel like it even if there isn't a deck around.
If you would draw from an empty library, instead draw a card from the playmat

We've all been there. But if you can't find the right cards looping demonic tutor...they just aren't there. 🤣
If you draw 14 cards and can't find the right one, you weren't meant to win that game.
Again, Josh knows to take out the opponent opposite of him, so he can use that second playmat.

I do, looking for any budget card. I rarely find them. I mostly play against them with my budget decks and I slap them up really hard.

@@steveokegawa4140 White is my least favorite color so I don't mind as much, but it's still sad that players who do like to play white are at a disadvantage just by playing their color.

I doubt anyone associated with the Command Zone team will see this, but if you do, just know that my appreciation for these "extra" Extra Turns episodes are what pushed me over the edge to sign up as a Patron. This is great content and I'm happy to be supporting it.

I had a turn one that went:
- Swamp as LFT.
- Tap to play dark ritual
- use 1 BLK to cast Sol ring
-use remaining mana to cast Vito.

I definitely hate when people don't just say "end my turn" once they're done. Especially when the last thing they cast is something like a rampant growth and make everyone wait for them to get their land before saying "ends my turn"
@@Beefjerkey12345 I get that, and it's nice to shortcut things, but some people prefer to use up their priority so they can focus better. I like to get my reshuffle in before I pass the turn so I can better pay attention and focus on what my opponents will be doing next.
As an editor I admire the way this is done. Keeping everything out of frame allows for those slick quick cuts for searches & whatever else we don't see in the final edit. Well done.
One of the coolest games I’ve ever seen on the channel. Seeing ladee, Ashlen and josh go off absurdly three turns in a row was so exciting. These are also just four really cool commanders and really well designed, leading to fun and different play patterns. Commander legends has so many interesting things to build around.

Me playing against my buddy with his high power cEDH build when I’m pretty sure a my pauper deck costs more than this commander deck.
If its truly cedh and not just edh stacks then chances are no. Maybe based on but all the fast mana is part of what makes a cedh deck a cedh deck, a cedh wincon is also a thing
This was probably the best Extra Turns since the episode with Kyle
ghen was a big underdog in commander discussions so im happy to see that card preform well considering how people can be biased about enchantment decks

This was a fantastic game! Belbe can start so incredibly strong, Obeka looks nuts, Araumi and Ghen both just seem like a ton of value. Awesome!
It's really a fantastic set. I'll admit I play Korvold and Yarok but the commanders from this set are powerful as well as unique and interesting unlike some of the generic goodstuff commanders we've gotten the last couple years. I've already built Neinyrral, Obeka, and in the process of building Yurlok. Might covert my Yarok lands deck into Archelos.
Damn, Blinding Obedience was putting in WORK at the end though
BO always makes waves in game, from pulling out a removal spell to just putting people off step. it can really have a place in any white deck
I love that card. I remember when I cracked it and couldn't believe how great it was. Nice to see it still kicking around out there.
Ashlen blocks Zara with Vindictive Lich, but Zara has flying...

@@alexanderschiano2441 jinn's "Max hand size is seven less" thing only is relevant in people's end steps, so it literally never happened. The time Jinn was stolen it left the battlefield at the end of the term and the time JLK played it he then died to the extort trigger so the hand size never became relevant.

Wow great game everyone ! I loved how every player got a chance to shine with their decks. This one was really a nail-biter. And I was so rooting for Ashlen because I was building an Araumi deck as I was watching the video but notheless, congratulations to Ladee !
Some of those turns were mind bending. A ton of respect for these players especially for ordering their plays and managing their Mana masterfully.
Thank you for another great extra turn guys....In this grey times we live we need this kind of entertainment!

When Josh is going crazy with all those extra turns, I think he should've kept Lightning Greaves on Obeka (for safety). I think everything should've had haste without it because of the Anger he discarded to Vindictive Lich.
Eh, it's not like anyone runs removal in their pods anyway :')

Honestly Ghen Enchantment Build breaks the Enchantment Color Wheel of Bant enchantment, and I love it. I am waiting to see Rakdos Landfall lol.
We’ve got monored landfall with Moraug which is pretty weird already.
Mardu enchantment (or curses) has been a thing quite recently. It's great because red and black do have a lot of cool and often expensive enchantments that can ruin someones life or create absolute chaos. Seeing a commander specifically targeting that playstyle is very nice.
@@Tohlsimir yeah I made a marchesa enchantment deck recently. Still debating if I want to c9nvery it to ghen
from my year or so playing Mardu
I feel that I have to resort to enchantments to grind value as most of the time they are hard to interact against and creatures die too easily unless I am playing a dedicated aggro or aristocrat deck which I seldom do
seeing Ghen gives quite an opportunity to make use of enchantments in a different way
I've been brewing Jeskai Landfall with Toggo and Ishai as the Commanders. So not Rakdos Landfall, but it doesn't have green in it.

Was hoping to see Belbe pop off more but was also pleasantly surprised with how much the other decks popped off as well.
Thanks for giving the non-parter commanders the spotlight. Obeka was something I was really hoping to see on Game Knights, there are so many insane shenanigans that could happen.

Once you've played against Ghen for like 5 minutes it becomes another one of those instant kill on sight commanders.
its the scariest pile of good stuff I've seem.
I wish they create a cheaper version of Replenish (and not 9 mana...). Something like 6 mana would be great

Josh's deck becomes Cedh when you add isochron scepter and counter spells. It also shows how naturally strong obeka is

Couldn't Josh of sacrificed puppeteer clique to the 2nd plaguecrafter trigger, bringing back the burnished Hart and saving his hullbreacher?
Yeah, he probably forgot about it.
I think he intentionally was playing nice because his next turn he casts windfall. Effectively he played worse so the game could be better.

Ladee: Sacs her whole board and keeps the tokens

You know why she did it? Because of Ashlen telling her earlier that she would have totally encored the Phyrexien Triniform if Ladee wouldnt have stolen it. Thats why she only sacrificed it after Ashleen paied a large amount of her available mana because she was afraid of Ashlen encoring that thing on her turn.
Loved Jimmy’s interpretation for the Rakdos ear buds!

When Ladee cracked burnished hart how evil would it have been for Josh to activate Obeka and Murph to say yes?
I don’t think it works that way or else it’s be overpowered...I think only the player who’s turn it is can choose to end said turn. Very useful in Josh’s deck but only useful to the other players if someone counters a spell that the Obeka player wanted on the board or to resolve
@@stellico9365 but the other players could choose to not end the turn. It’s not overpowered because it’s different from time stop for the reason that players have a choice to end the turn.
@@1thomason23 I know...that’s what I was explaining...it’s not overpowered for the sole choice of that they have a choice and it’s not forced on them

@@olivergreer3690 it's the turn player that says yay or nay, not any player that Obeka's controller chooses.

the deck unrefined, just added some cards that would be fun. I could add extra turns, combos, and tutors, but that would be boring for me.
The cool part is that you can flavor Obeka's reanimation as her bringing back the creature THROUGH TIME! Like literally punching into time and dragging the creatures kicking and screaming into the fight, with other versions of themselves throughout the time stream via Encore.

Danger wouldn't gotten joshes hand, so she would not of drawn seven cards.
Josh would have a creature next turn.... literally entire ripple effect!
Usually the mistakes are minor if they have any, but this one is crucial.
Josh could have saved Hullbreacher right before his Windfall. That would have done a ton to help him win.
Lol. It would be Ladee that dethrones Ashlen. Lol. Sweet episode guys! Made my day.
