  • Fary Cry 5 built-in benchmark.
1280x720, low preset (the rest is at default like TAA, motion blur on, FOV 75, resolution scale 1, etc.)
    Acer Aspire 3 A315-41
    Ryzen™ 5 2500U with Radeon™ Vega 8 integrated graphics
    1GB UMA VRAM, 19.4.1 Adrenalin 2019 driver
    2x4GB DDR4-2666 (@2400 17-17-17-39-56-1)
    (7GB Usable, 1GB iGPU)
    1TB 5400RPM HDD
    BIOS Insyde Corp. (V1.13)
Win 10 Home SL, Build 1809
    Thermal paste: Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut
    Configuration:
    RyzenController by Storm1er, 35W/35W/35W/84C/74A/1200/1200
RyzenTest by Helles, P1 state (achieved by power options, min processor state 0%, max 99%) @2.5 GHz
Max fan speed (with RWEverything in my previous video)
    Configuration output & game usage:
CPU @2.5 GHz averages around 40-60%
GPU (mostly) @1.1 GHz, 100% load
    MEM @1.2 GHz
APU voltage 0.969-0.994V, MEM voltage 1.006-1.019V
    TDP rating load 30-32W
Temp peak 74°C (ambient temp around 26°C)
HDD usage stays below 100% (did a heat-up benchmark first to relieve disk usage in next bench, reduced shutters output, SSD will solve high disk usage shutter problem)
    Other notes:
Benchmark recorded with a phone, no fps loss, but sorry for low recording quality.
All Ultra 720p avg fps ~25, Ultra texture no fps impact but require much more disk usage.
At last, I realize that OSD is still needed, the in-game benchmark shows fps include low, high, and the graph only. So, no real-time hardware monitoring this time.
Default laptop's 25W @1.6 GHz CPU only got 26 fps average (TDP load around 23W).
Gameplay fps is identical, so this benchmark is pretty accurate.
RAM (out of the box) performance benchmark:
    32.5 GB/s Read, 33 GB/s Write, 30 GB/s Copy, Latency 110 ns (Aida64)
This result is ~7% below expectation in memory read performance (due to the low-quality Micron RAM that comes with the laptop).
Your laptop may get higher performance than mine.

Will 4+8 gb ram in this laptop create problems? or damage its processor?

I'm using RyzenController right now gitlab.com/le.storm1er/ryzen-controller/releases/
      STAPM & PPT Limit 35W
      Temp 84°C
      VRM 75A*
      TransmissionMinMax 1200 MHz
(Experimental) SOCMinMax 200 MHz (write down)
      Leave the rest unchecked
*leave this unchecked unless you set max processor state on power options to 99% and minimum to 0% so cpu max 1.7 GHz (revert by set max to 100% again)
      For advanced user:
(can modify 1.7 Ghz to anything else with RyzenAdj for advanced user), and have changed thermal paste/ use additional cooler.
upgrade to 4+8 (12GB) and if you can make it 8+8 (16GB) later, it's better than 4+4 (8GB)

Hey bro I am having the same configuration laptop of Lenovo but in my laptop it shows only 256 MB of VRAM how can I increase it. I checked so many times in my BIOS but I didn't get any Option to increase it please help me to figure out.

    • @elham7459

Don't need to worry about it, your system dynamically allocates RAM for VRAM, 256MB shown is just fixed allocation which can't be used for another program (exclusive for VRAM) then your RAM will be cut by 256MB. No need to increase VRAM to 1 or 2GB which will hamper your usable RAM for another program. It doesn't matter you have 256, 512, or 1GB VRAM fixed because the system will dynamically allocate it as needed. Check Task Manager for instance, on Performance -> Memory, you'll see 256MB hardware reserved then RAM size is 256MB lower than it should be, then check your integrated GPU -> Dedicated will be 256MB and Shared will be up to 50% of available RAM and this will be deducted directly to RAM usage, not from hardware allocation (both is shared actually, shared from RAM, so basically same performance).
If 256MB is full, the rest will be filled to "Shared"

And also, Lenovo default TDP is 15W, you can improve it with Ryzen Controller

1864 mb used in vega 8?

    • @elham7459
      @elham7459  5 лет назад

Yes, it uses Dedicated VRAM 1GB controlled by BIOS (allocated UMA VRAM) + Dynamic VRAM (or Shared VRAM) 864MB.
