@@_REMIE yeah, I break a lot of stuff, and while losing the drone was a disappointment it gave me an opportunity to tell the story, so the way I see it is that these loses are simply investments into the channel. That deep breath before you unscrew the top plate... loved it! xD It will be like that over and over and over again.. :-) But that's what makes us fly! As I see you are already deep in tuning science. I fly Badger frames also, but with the V2S props and the Eco motors it might get some frame resonance at high throttle, I suspect. I suggest you try some different props at first. I am flying the BlackBird V2 motors and have great results with T-Motor 5143s. And my new one-for-all discovery for antivibration props is Dalprop Nepal! Sometimes the best tune won't help if the prop/motor/frame combination has some issues. Anyways it's worth a try. Great vlog btw! Subbed, keep it up! :-)
Wow thanks for your comment, very helpfull! I was wondering if it could be the combo of parts. I'm rebuilding the drone. I've had some extra time to read some more into tuning. I will give the 'Basement Tune' from PIDToolbox a try. Just to be sure. If that won't do anything I will try the props your recommended. Thanks for the sub!!🙏🏼
Absolutely brilliant advice mate 🤝 8 outta 10 times it’s props! That doesn’t help grifters like CR to make money outta the unsuspecting with so called wonder frames! yeah they resonate less than most but it’s negligible at best to any real time difference imho 👍 Also I wish they did the Nepal props in a 5.5 version 😃
If you're getting vibrations only at the top end of the throttle you might want to try adjusting the TPA. Throttle pid attenuation will reduce the PID numbers as you get higher in the throttle to help reduce vibrations or oscillations. If it's only from 90 to 100% throttle that you notice it then try increasing the amount of attenuation by 10, this I think is what percentage the pids will be reduced by at full throttle. And leave the start point at default. I think the default is 1350, It's in reference to throttle position 1000 - 2000. I say there's a 50/50 chance it might help. If it was due to a bad esc or poor quality fets on an esc then firmware changes likely won't help, except maybe a current limit in the ESC firmware (not in BLheli S though) or possibly reducing the start up power from 50% to 25 or 30% That ones a bit of a long shot though. I guess it only matters if the ESC you're using survived it's dip in the pond today! I know it really sucks, we've all been there. That's why I conformal coat almost all of my builds, I can't risk an ESC freaking out because of some waterfall spray or a bit of rain. Good luck getting it flying nicely!
Thanks for your indepth comment!🙏🏼 I had been doing blackbox logging with different TPA settings before, from the default 0.65 unitl 0.35 in steps of 0.05 but the vibration kept being the exact same. I setup my esc according Chris Rossers recommandations which also include the 30% rampup power, 23° timing, PWM set to 48hz low to 'by RPM'. I get thrilling/rough motors at 24hz. Yes the crash sucks! I conformal coated my parts, except the O3 because I was to scared for heat issues. ESC is fried non the less and the O3 does connect to usb but the radio signal is not there. It also won't go into binding mode. The FC, buzzer and motors are still good. When everything is rebuild I will look to do a tailored tune with PIDtoolbox and setup propper filtering. I used the Supafly tune/filter preset before.
I also saw some videos from people suffering a loose camera barrel on the O3. ruclips.net/video/leL81_KVdxQ/видео.html Since I had to order a new unit I will see if the vibrations still remain the same.
Interesting🤔 I had the wobble thing 'right out of the box' also after a replacement. I recently spent some time tuning, it did make a big difference. Almost completely gone at this point. At least it's not driving me crazy right know and I can enjoy flying. Which is the most important part.😄

It does connect to usb so storage is accessible. Also DJI assistant works. But it won't bind to goggles and radio anymore.😟 Led indicator stays red and won't go into binding mode when pressing the button. @A R I M I V I X thank you for the after incident report. Seems like that FC to ESC plug is a vulnerable spot. I've had conformal coating fail to protect at that same location. As for the 03 that's disappointing the original air units where fairly resilient to water I hear.
I also heard the O3 should have a small layer of coating from the factory. But not enough for being completely submerged I guess, haha. Did look into coating the new O3 but to afraid of damaging it, just a bit to expensive for me to experiment with that. Did see some succesfull attempts on the web, but I'm afraid it won't be able to get rid of the heat. Especially during summertime. The O3 is full of thermal paste and don't want to cover those area's. I think the best solution for now is not too fly near water with my current skills.😬
@A R I M I V I X I'm right there with you. I have 2 5inch drones and my main one has the 03 in it. And I definitely can't afford to replace it. Crazy story.
