I have lived here my whole life, then moved to Dallas for 7 years , just recently moved back after having kids , I wanted to raise my family in a smaller city and not deal with the high cost of living of a big city, Waco is bigger than people will give it credit for we just don't have enough small entrepreneurs opening entertainment although downtown is growing. We have one of the biggest parks in the country with Cameron park so if you love outdoors you will find something to do there. College kids also have their spots downtown. I would say mostly everyone I know is conservative and trying to raise their families without all the crazy things that come with a larger city. If you are looking for entertainment everyday you won't find it here , but you will find a park where you can create your own. Businesses are popping up left and right in the city , so maybe that will change but that is our current state. I would say Waco is a perfect place to raise a family.
I live in Los Angeles, CA I'm thinking about to move there because of the high cost of living here. Is there a lot of jobs?? Houses are cheap or expensive there??
Being from a small town is more fun because you get create fun things and appreciate the time you have with people because it's always more personal and closer to the heart.
There are 2 or three alternatives to I-35 that rarely back up. As a local i very rarely use 35 unless im going to Dallas or Austin. After living in Miami/Fort Lauderdale and Orlando there is no real traffic in Waco.
It’s been about a year since your video was put out I was wondering how it’s doing now. Also I would like to know if there’s parts of the city that you would not recommend buying a house in.
I have yet to watch the whole video, but I have to say I really like the cinematography and overall editing of this video, something about the wide camera view and the lighting just make the video feel so much more organic, it has the clean editing style of a popular vlogging channel, and the atmosphere of a hearty little home film, a perfect combination. This is such a rare specimen of video, all the elements are done so well, absolutely brilliant.
My best friend got a job offer in waco I'm thinking about moving with her I'm kinda scared because waco has way more folks than where I live here in Mississippi
Yh it’s normal to feel nervous especially in a new place but you will be fine. Trust yourself and be confident. I’ll be by August and I’m sure by then you maybe the one to calm my nerves 😂
I was looking the schools waco is not even rated a 10 , midway as well not even rated 9/10 either . however im from the east coast, I would like relocate in Texas and also husband job down in waco, I’m trying to figure where good place to live in waco where there no or less likely from tornadoes .
@@jennig7543 Waco is actually a cesspool. I wouldn't reccomend living in a college town. I moved here with my fiance a few years ago. We're in the process of moving out. There isn't a good place to live around there.
Hi, how are the rules about masks and vaccines are strict or quiet In schools and public?? Crime and violence?? 🌪 Tornadoes and hurricane?? Best Safe Cities or County to Live in??
It’s a great city to live in, but a warning: rent and property taxes are going up. Certain people are working to make Waco Baylor’s dream home more than a dream home for non-Baylor.
Is the state or any counties mandating vaccines? Is it a more democratic or republican community as far as our freedoms? What is the minimum wage? Are there a lot of union jobs?
No mandates…Waco is really kinda in the middle politically, so that’s good because you don’t live in an echo chamber…minimum wage is the national…Idk about union jobs, I don’t think so because Texas is a pro-business state
Thanks for the review. I’m from California thinking to buy a house in Waco or South Carolina. You guys are putting off the vibe that Waco sucks ass correct if I’m wrong?

Nice. I am joining Baylor for graduate school and I want to know what’s the cheapest I can get for a one bedroom rent ?

Affordability and quality education is a rare combo!😊
It doesn't exist here. I'm not sure what school these people are talking about

What is the deal with the sky high property taxes?
We may be moving to Waco (or surrunding area), but are getting put off by the high taxes.
No income tax so property tax and sales tax to fund most city and state expenses.
YES! Totally thinking of moving to Waco!
You won’t be disappointed!
Love TexasOr Leave Texas. I am a Texan here in El Paso, Texas. Waco is a nice city.
Thanks for the info!
Our pleasure, thanks for watching :)
You can get everywhere in Waco without getting on a highway
Good to have you here in Waco
I loved Waco!!!
How’s the lake? You didn’t talk about it? Can you paddle boarding or boat on it or swim in it? Alligators? Snakes? We wanted to know this-thx!!
People from the East & West Coast will unfortunately move here and destroy this beautiful place like the rest of the places they are migrating too…
Yes that is true. What scum they are.
Thanks for the video thinking of moving from Boston to Waco
You’re welcome, let us know if you have any questions!

Is the traffic really that bad? I’m moving to Waco from okc with my family soon. I can’t imagine the traffic being that bad …

Good video I'm getting out of the military and moving to Waco in October for school
Same! Well, I'm thinking about going to Baylor. I'm from Dallas. Gotta finish this contract first though. 😒

All I have to do is listen to Ted Cruz and I know Waco is not a place I would move to no matter how affordable it is.
Yup
Is the traffic like LA/NY traffic? My husband and I are moving in about 1 yr to Waco. We are very exited!
The traffic is nowhere near the traffic you will see in LA or NY. Congratulations on your new and exciting journey!
@@thistagworked that would be so cool if you could recommend neighborhoods! ☺️

What part of Mississippi?
Dears,
What you would suggest about opening a Tack shop including cowboy product in Waco. this would be a good idea or not?
Thanks in advance.
You should do your research. Follow your dreams
I'm moving there next year for my job I work for already I hope I can move up with my company
I’m accepting my PhD offer to Baylor University because this video has convinced me of living in waco
Moving to Waco for Baylor as well.
@@clairm3599 that’s great! I’m coming all the way from Ghana, West Africa. How about you?
@@nyaababismark423 Nice! I’m coming from the west coast. Plan to start classes in the summer. A little nervous since I won’t know anyone out there.

The schools aren't great @_@ What are you talking about? Waco ISD is NOT rated 9/10. The private school and charter school maybe.

Is Waco a good place to move for a young adults in their early 20s
Yes, you should read a few of the other comments on this video. One of the other viewers gave some great insight!
No it's it's shit hole

No don’t move here trash city and to many haters
Does waco have fiber internet?
Yes Waco has fiber internet.
What about employment?
Do people in Waco have a Southern accent?
Any area of that isn't a metro area many folks carry a drawl. If that's not something you like I wouldn't bother coming.
😂
Schools are not good there. Truthful would be good
