Ok
Thank you!
When was Geronimo born. If he went to battle in the 1830's then how can he die in the early 1900's? So Geronimo was 7 years old when he went on the warpath. Wow, that makes sense.

The Teepee was a white man's invention and then given to the supposed Indians. The first people in America were white Europeans. They came from southern France and northern Spain.

Ok, Germino did not surrender in 1836. It was 1886. Please get it right. Some of us care about historical accuracy.
On RUclips there is very little accuracy.
I wish you moaners would spell names correctly, Germino? !

Must be his PTSD flaring up again, leaving him with CRS, Can’t remember [Stuff].
So much is incorrect in this video. Beginning with the Title. These photos are not BANNED from history. Heck! The majority of them ARE in history books. I totally disrespect video creators that lie and mislead.
I wish American documentaries would stop using irrelevant movie clips.
I'm still waiting to know what pictures were Banned from History?
I liked seeing all the old photos but the video is ALL OVER THE PLACE.
Especially when they show Sammy Davis Jr & Betty White while they’re talking about Wild Bill 😂😂😂WTF
Geronimo surrendered to General Miles on September 4, 1886 not 1836
The Spanish Vaquero is the foundation of the cowboy 🤠
You are correct!
The AI's can't read very well. lol
These photos are not banned.
Thayell say anything to get u to click on their shit
@@kerrycurtis5831 Emphasis on "shit'!👍
Please get the images, right . Most of the photos show a mirror or reverse videos
The Spanish Vaquero is the foundation of the cowboy 🤠
Interesting commentary but mostly nonsensical graphics. What in the heck do some of these photos have to do with the "Old West"?
When the video starts talking about Deadwood it shows a photograph that is obviously not Deadwood Because in the left side, there is a saguaro cactus, which only grows in Arizona and parts of Mexico.
I wish who makes videos would do just a little research. Alot of incorrect or missing info.
What's with that distracting cutaway to a circus arriving in town with clowns all over the wagon???
It was the women who took down teepees, moved by the whole group of Indians.
😊
The Spanish Vaquero is the foundation of the cowboy 🤠
I love any "old West" history. Thanks for your time!

"... here's Bloody Bill Anderson posing for a photo shortly after his passing...."
Looked good, under the circumstances
Mento mori, come to pose the deceased and even draw in eyes as the person was alive
@@snoolge Isn't it memento mori?
WTF? why was SAMMY DAVIS JR in the video? 22:35
Dude you say Wild Bill, then show a pic of Bat Masterson...wtf?
Davey Crockett; he had 3 ears, did you know? Left ear, right ear and a wild front ear! Oy!
Betty white at 22:05 lol
Geronimo surrendered in 1836. Really? He must have been some child to be so feared, so we'll known, because in 1836 he was seven years old. I think you mean he surrendered in 1886, yes?
yes and jesse james was born in 1874?
Why were these images banned ?
how could it be taken shortly after his passing.
😂😂😂
He was dead when they took the photo, it was a regular practice at the time, there are photos of dead gunmen, and posed deceased children with family members in various of these posts, but I have seen actual photographs in museums
@@davedixon2068 Hes clearly not dead in the picture though.
Geronimo surrendered in 1886 not 1836...
Man, I’m sure it took some time to make this video. Thanks for sharing. However, the pictures moved so fast it was difficult to see and some didn’t have anything to do with what you described.
I love stories of the old west thank you

@albertdeleon6272
Hmm. It is true. Did a check, and Vaquerio is a Portuguese word where the first Vaquerios were active on the Iberian Peninsula. Wikipedia does have sources cited. The methodology was brought to Mexico from Spain. According to this, "The vaquero became the foundation for the North American Cowboy, in Morthern Mexico, Southwestern United States, and Western Canada. A painting of a vaquero was shown at Wikipedia and said to be circa 1830. American Cowboys came definitely later than that.
The cowboys of the Great Basin still use the word "Bukaroo" which may be a corruption of vaquero, to describe theirs elves and their traditions. Many in Llano Estacado (location) and along the Southern Rio Grande (river) prefer the term vaquero, whole the indigenous and Hispanic communities in the sge old Nuevo Mexico (New Mexico) and NM Territory regions use the term Caballero.

Check this out on Wikipedia. They have 87 complete sources cited.
Actually, Wild Bill was a gentleman but was already married, and rebuffed Calamity Jane's advances towards him. When she died, Wild Bill, who had "absolutely no use" for Calamity.

AT 10:53 you say the tintype of Bloody Bill Anderson was taken shortly AFTER his passing. Wow! That image of him sitting in a chair with his eyes wide open sure do make him look VERY much ALIVE! LOL!!!
Awesome stories! 👏👏👏
So WHAT PICTURES were BANNED from History?
still clickbating along looking for those dastardly banned images.making pudding by reciting history we already knew.
The Spanish Vaquero is the foundation of the cowboy 🤠
That was wonderful! Thank you!
The Spanish Vaquero is the foundation of the cowboy 🤠
No,that was bad as can be!
@@Oelwannski yes I agree some were bad, but I was referring to the whole concept of showing photos that were banned. Most photos were interesting, thus making it wonderful. I appreciate your opinion, but alas, I didn’t post it on RUclips for the world to see.
Guess I am taking back my like and unsubscribeing.

Why on earth should photographs of tepees and normal streets be banned?

These photos are NOT BANNED from history. The majority of them ARE IN HISTORY BOOKS. HOW DO YOU think we are aware of them? Please don't mislead and lie to get views. It is highly disrespectful of you to do so. Also, please do better research on the events and people in the photos. There is a bit of incorrect info you state about them on occasion.
worked though
those chairs are disgusting.. so is Kinman
Eye of the beholder, dont judge with modern bias, it was a completely different life then (sometimes death if you missed the shot at the bear, you became dinner instead of him becoming a chair).
Did anyone else hear him say "The Rufus BUTT gang"? LMFAO I thought they were actually called that so I googled it and it's actually "Rufus buck" 😭😂
The Clanton brothers gang was known as the "Cowboys"???!? Wow, that's news to me. Good research as usual!
''Ob reham'' Lincoln?
Awesome video
7:09 if the purchaser had any honor or decency, he would find the person who sold the photo for $2.00 and give him some of that $5 million, AFTER taxes of course! I am sure he knows who he is, maybe.
Just curious as to where Tex Madsen got his clothes and boots. I guess he must've had his own tailor cobbler
This video was really educational. To me the old tintype pictures are better than what we are producing in 2024.
These guys all wore bowlers, not modern-day cowboy hats.

Yeah.... So What?
My neighbor is part of the Ramsey clan who homesteaded the Laramie River valley, WY and had several notorious figures work for them including Wild Bill Hickock. Has pictures to prove it.
Awesome

And then Sammy Davis Jr’s picture pops up 😂😂😂
Bro what kind of scoobie doo history is this nonsense.
Wyatt earp born in 1848 then shows abraham lincoln 😂
Good God! Does anybody even check this content before it's posted on RUclips?! Geronimo finally surrendered in 1836?! Not hardly!
too many anachronistic photos!
The photos are a little out of sync, lol
The Spanish Vaquero is the foundation of the cowboy 🤠
OK. Please do your research before you post. I'm just minutes into your story and i hear a major historically inaccurate error. The photo of the Wild Bundh was not taken in Texas. It was taken in Nee York City where it was recognized by a Pinkerton Detective not a member of law enforcement.

What does all this have to do with this post?
Be aware most people that never had so much money end up broke or bankrupted.
Hi
I’ve seen a lot of these “banned” photos
What images were banned from history? Sammy Davis? Betty White? How many others were modern day actors? Why did you keep showing the same pictures over and over, only flipping them end for end? That was a rather poor job of presentation of contemporary Hollywood movies intermixed with a few history photos of real personages. You deserve a thumbs down for that sloppy work.
Typical crap from this RUclips "Historian".
The chairs are very interesting, and geronimo,I love stuff about the old west ,anything about Indians,Billy the kid yes yes yes lol
You waffle on too much
The Spanish Vaquero is the foundation of the cowboy 🤠
Not sure why Sammy Davis Jr"s picture appears in this!
IF you're going to do a 'history' piece, then stick with the HISTORY. Don't pepper it with irrelevant pictures and photos.
I really enjoyed the video except for a few small details, the so called gun fight at the “ Okay Corral “ didn’t actually take place at the corral.
Interesting video, but I could do without some of the footage inserted that does not fit. Reusing bits of the same footage does not work, especially if the footage is modern or does not fit the story. And more complete research is recommended. Using incorrect information makes the viewer want to tune in to something else. We want to be entertained and educated. Please get your historical information correct and use pictures, footage that fits the century you are speaking about and the story you are telling.
Check ur facts. Information like dates is important to people who love history. Otherwise, pretty good video and narration.
What has this video got to with people making money reading comments on here fkn really 😡
you need to more carefully edit your podcast. some of the pictures are just wrong! also what is the need for showing current photos, such as the contempory soldiers in camaflauge??
There are too many irrelevant pictures.
Banned? Nonsense!
These movie clips are not true images of the Wild West!
no they are pictures

Absolutely! I have heard stories of people who started with little or no knowledge but managed to emerge victorious thanks to Ana Graciela Blackwelder.
They had soooo many incorrect facts I couldn’t wait to leave this disreputable video. What a sham, made by people that didn’t do their research, and just threw statements and photos into the mix that were totally WRONG! 👎🏻💩👎🏻💩🤬😡💩👎🏻🤬😡
Anyone else here just to look for /at beautiful old world buildings? Only 2 here, and as usual for elaborate buildings supposedly built by settlers.. construction dates and times are incredibly sketchy. Table bluff hotel has no construction timeline. Supposedly built by john catherwood “sometime pre 1853” (humbolt history society/ wiki) and in 1853 john von aernam filed claim on it (most buildings seem claimed, not built). Same year, jacob keiffer was licensed to do business there. Second building is the beaumont hotel in Co. 14:25 according to wiki and colorado historical, it was built in under a year (as with mostly all the greco roman/gothic and overly elaborate victorian influences found around the world) it was built july 5 1886 to dec 15th 1886. Less than six months. Obviously someone is writing our us history. This building today would still easily be a 2 year project, with cars to move the bricks and someone elsewhere carving the elaborates off site. They did not build this in the mud in under 6 months. This is so typical of americas grandest buildings supposedly built mid 1800s. Almost as typical as 8’ doorways and lower floor windows half buried like basements. Nobody digs a foundation, lays trimmed windows, and re burries them, only to half dig them out. .Then it shows the alamo, but theres no need to cover something already so famous.
How big did Tom Madsens horse have to be
It is a shame that we hardly get a look at these photographs, unfortunately, when some people get hold of video editing software they go mad. Please! More photo, less irrelevant video and other business. Oh, and check your facts. Perhaps drink less coffee or whatever stimulant you use.
your photos and history needs work
Such a waste of bandwidth.
Not very accurate.
Who was AAAAAHbraham Lincoln ?
