@@amineberroukech1100 Xander was definitely family... he really stood up for her, especially when her brother threatened to beat her down.
Don’t forget Giles and Anya.
One of my favourite scenes of the whole show.
I didn't come for the touchy touchy stuff, I came for Spike's parts. 😂😂
Spike's solution to most problems: Punch it to make it go away. As you can clearly see in this scene, it works like a charm.
Open up man
Spike's parts WERE the touchy touchy stuff.
one of Xander's manliest moments
Also love xanders fight with super warren.
And when he casts the love spell and rejects buffy.
And when he saves the lives of the scoobies during a hell mouth opening by intimidating a zombie into defusing his own bomb……..saving not only his friends but the world and then never told anyone about it.
He’s got his flaws but they’re far outshined by his virtues.
He’s also clocked more field time than all the watchers delegation combined.
I just love this moment. Because of the look on Tara's face when Buffy says "You've got to go through ME"....and when she calls her family. I really believe that was probably the FIRST TIME ever (other than Willow) she TRULY felt ACCEPTED. The fact that he says 'blood kin' and not "family" says SO MUCH about their feelings for her (Tara).
"And I swear by your full and manly beard, that you will break something trying."
Xander may not be the most powerful in the show but he has faced things that would make Soldiers run in terror and will always be the shield for his girls.
This scene was about everyone showing they care about Tara (Expect Spike) and all i cared about was Spike's comments.
Of course Spike cared, why would he help her out?)
willows "ohh" after Tara says "he hurt my nose" sound so soft Dom to me it's caring with a tiny bit of tease in it...or maybe I'm just crazy lol plust he "I know that!!" was so protective and intense
It took me 20 years to realize how beautiful tara really is. Was in love with willow than anya. Another 20 and it will be buffy’s mom 😂
Tara's crooked smile is everything to me...
I love it here everyone stands beside Tara in this scene.
That's family ❤😭
Tara's family views their women as property. It's all about control.
I’ve always been surprised that Amy Adam’s was in this.. and that they acted perfectly with each other.
Love everything about this scene. Regardless of anything, true family loves you and will fight for you.
I love the scene how the scoobygang react good and take her defense
This is exactly why Spike was the best character on the show....especially when he hung out with Joyce. Yeah, Spike and Joyce were fun together.
I love how Beth says 'i hope you'll enjoy hanging out with a disgusting demon' or something like that. I'm like:
Boi!😲 You have NO idea what a demon is OR looks like. Spend a day in Buffy's world and it'll send you running back to your daddy.
I loved Spike! He was such an indifferent, unconcerned and no-nonsense «friend» you «loved» to have around❤️
If you add up all the Oscar nominations the actors in this scene have gotten you come up with six. Six Oscar nominations. And they all come from Amy Adams there. Hard to believe Tara's cousin would become such a powerhouse.
and my first memory of her is in a straight to DVD "sequel/prequel to Cruel Intentions, where she played Buffy's character of Catherine, who ends up in a 3 way wit ha guy from Dawsons Creek and the girl who later take Lilah Morgans spot on Angel S5
Witches are not demons regardless of how Hollywood depicts them...Blessed Be to all witches!
Actually there is folklore about witches is the children of incubuses and a human along with succubus and humans
But I do believe after seeing this again it's supposed to be ambiguous homophobia with using Witchcraft and Magic has allegory. With the reconstructed paganism largely emphasizing sacred Fem even though proper paganism is about the joining of both Matra and Patra AKA The Sword and the Chalice
@Doctor Odin I don't know exactly what you just said but paganism NOR
witchcraft of today has to abide by what they were defined in the past. All this talk about practicing the "true or proper way" (referring to original practices or what one thinks is "right") is silly at best
@@Doctor_Odin By the way, witchcraft can be practiced in its entirety by all people regardless of their sexual preference. Saying that paganism or witchcraft can only be practiced properly with the union of a male and female is like Christians saying marriage should only be with a man and a woman, which is ignorant at best
Witches weren't depicted as demons on this show either. Come to think of it, I can't think of any shows or movies where they are.
@@Tantalus010 In this episode you can easily see how Tara's family made her and her friends think she was a demon
I forgot how much I love Spike.
Spike is the man 👍👍😂😂
Ah Spike, I love his character so much.
"You're a piece of work- I like you" 3:39 :-D
"You just gotta go through me"
Excuse me, I need to pick up the pieces of my heart. 😭😭 Love this episode.
Excellent scene! One of my favorites of the entire series.
This was by far one of my favorite scenes.
My favorite episode of my all time favorite show. ❤
The greatest moment among so many great moments in BtVS, imho.
dawns threat and buffys conformation are so fucking hilarious and adorable ^^
I love how buffy stood up to him without him knowing of her power. She never mentions it nor does anyone.
They’re doing thing because they’re right, without having to use might.
Probably because buffy wanted to protect her identity but also of the Mclay’s tried to “go through” buffy would enjoy surprising them.
I've seen this episode at least 10 times... So why have I only just noticed that Amy Adams plays Tara's sister (or is it sister in-law)
Louise McDonald I didn’t notice that was Amy Adams until I started watching more of her films and than hit it me.
Her cousin
Louise McDonald maybe Amy Adams was the demon
Louise McDonald Amy aDams?
Louise McDonald Tara's fiance is Willow. So basically the scooby gang are her inlaws and the other guys are her maiden family.
I never thought I'd excalty another member of the Scooby gang but tara was perfect
This is what I loved so much about the show... the great writing and surprise moments.
p.s. It's amazing how Tara changed the show in such a short time. One of the best things about BtVS.
yeah, ny preff character alongside with Spike
what's funny is people were ANGRY at tara and willow becoming a couple and preferred Oz. They were so angry they attacked Amber personally. Then when her character was killed, fans were angry as hell, and some even stopped watching. Joss was actually considering bringing her back when Buffy gets a life altering wish, and she uses it to give Tara back to Willow.
Willow and Tara ar the perfect relation ship😍. Tara and Willow... yea the first episode with Tara was so cool thei ar Wiches😍 .
Tara love Willow and Willow love Tara 😉 ,Then joss make BIG letters on the teme song wit Tara and then he kill her in the next episode😢 im not forgiving joss for killing her😢.BUTT i ships Tara and Willow 4 ever😍. Tara is so sweet and Willow smile ist cute
But joss ar save a god porson but tis im NOT FORGIVING NOT FOR KILLING TARA!!!!! 😢 #Willara4Ever #BUFFY #A
Spike is so perceptive. Truly surprised he an Dru didn’t take over Sunnydale.
I still think it's a shame they didn't. I loved Spike and Dru. My favourite BtVS-couple.
Spike's humour in this show was so well written. Sheer brilliance!!
Bring back characters like him!!
I love spike so much ^^ he states he does not care, but he is totaly in on the cause anyway
This is one of THE, if not THE most powerfull scene in the series, kin can beat you down, family stands behind you, no matter what… blood related or not, sometimes families just form and are there for each other…. So glad i grew up with BTVS 🥰
I love how Spike purs right before he punches Tara. 😂😂
I always forget that pre-fame Amy Adams was in Buffy. It shakes me up every time I see this scene. 🤣
I was just about to google if it is Amy there)) thanks
"Mr. Maclay I would say your business here is finished." That's Giles speak for "Get out of my shop while I allow you to leave with your lungs."
Buffy knew exactly what Spike was going to do when he said "Make this simple." She is looking right that way before he even gets to her.
Family is not about Blood or genes, is about the bond you have with the people you Love and care, as this scene shows.
The legendary scooby gang family. One if the best in TV show history. Showed their love for Tara.
Taras crazy smile....her lips go in all directions 🤣🤣
I love how a young Amy Adams just so happens to be in this scene…!?!
Spike being present for the we are family declaration but not Riley says it all.
Family, not always about blood, it’s about love.
So true❤❤❤.
Cousin Beth later left the family and had a lucrative career selling purses and handbags in Scranton, PA.
This was 17 years before Amy Adams became what Clark said the thirstiest young woman he has ever met.
What? This episode aired 1 year before she played Jodi on Smallville.
Glenn Dallas I was referring to this scene from Justice League. ruclips.net/video/LGTDmuTwFCI/видео.html
"Are you happy now?"
"...Not quite yet. You're still here."
“You’re a piece of work. I like you.”
I love Spike lol
I love this scene so damn much!!
I wish they would have continued another series with the ones that survived Sunnydale and finally having a semi normal life.
What kind of family are they?!
Buffy & co are a way better family for Tara.
They like her for who she really is. And deep down Spike does care. He just doesn’t want to admit it. 😄
SHE DESERVED BETTER!!!
Makes it more heartwrenching when she dies
Selina Davis
That’s an awfully big spoiler to drop in a comments section
This episode is 10 years old. The show has been off the air for 10 years.
Why you gotta bring that up ;-)
bad mathematising people, the episode is around 16 years old.
Lizfan2 About 16 years now.
