I always keep bread, crumpets and bagels in the fridge, especially if reduced - they last so much longer. And totally right about frozen ready meals being cheaper - I let them defrost in the fridge and then you’re using less power to heat them up.
I found a lovely little independent farm shop. I popped down there this morning and picked up lots of nice things for myself. I noticed that she sold the Faith in Nature brand of toiletries that you like and you can take your own bottles and have them refilled. If you're ever in the vicinity I would highly recommend a visit. It's a small shop but she has a good range of products. It's called The Station and it's in Coychurch, Bridgend 🤗
I’m really interested in your pricing … I’m in Scotland where I am shops don’t open on Sundays .. but our club card price for Philly cheese large size is £1.15 with the children going back on the 12/13. It’ll be nice to see as Granny what I can get them for there school supplies .. have a lovely Bank holiday though it’s a wet one here !
I bought pots of jelly in Sainsbury’s at the weekend. Gin and tonic flavour being one flavour. The artificial sweeteners in them overpower the actual flavour. I wouldn’t buy them again. I’ve had yogurt like the ones you showed, they’re the same. 🤢 Crumpets go mouldy quick in warm weather I’ve noticed. I freeze mine and get one out as I need them. Nobody else in the house likes them, just me. I buy the gluten free ones when they’re on yellow sticker. I don’t toast them, I microwave them so they don’t dry out and taste bitter. If I toast them the bottoms are quite brown already. If I toast them they taste burnt and bitter. I’ve discovered by defrosting them in the microwave, they are a lovely texture and flavour. There’s a huge difference in price of fresh and frozen ready meals. Frozen is always much cheaper. The only difference is that the frozen takes longer to cook. It doesn’t really matter if you microwave the meal does it. They taste the same. The only time it’s worth buying the chilled ones is if they are reduced in price. Do you watch other people’s shopping videos Imo? I do enjoy seeing what others buy. I find it really interesting and sometimes inspiring. If you made use of your soup maker, you could take soup in a flask to gigs. Cheap, filling healthy meals. 😊 I always feel pleased with myself when I use up veg in the salad drawer. 😂 I bought fennel yesterday, so I’ll be making fennel, pea 🫛 and mint soup 🥣 in the soup maker today.
I keep my crumpets and potato cakes in the freezer and just stick em in the toaster. I freeze nearly everything!
That sounds very sensible :) Thanks ☺️
Looking forward to back to school videos ❤
I always keep crumpets in the freezer. Pop them straight in the toaster on defrost setting then again on normal setting

I am far into my adult life and still love it when back to school items come out. Especially paper and pens. Usually I can't resist buying something!
I miss the UK , I loved going to supermarkets and other stores
Thanks Imo 🙂

Great shop. Love back to school!
I have to say the cheaper frozen ready meals are good . I do not like spices and they hardly have any so it makes me happy

Why not freeze unused crumpets
❤❤❤
freze the crumpets and just cook them froze
The only difference between ready made frozen and homemade is YOU can not control the amount of sodium in the product.
