Paralimni is the largest village on the island, and the supermarket has been there for many years. The roads have been improved in recent years but car parking can be a nightmare. Shop off-peak if you cam. I discovered many years ago that the local brands are as good as the international ones and you can save a small fortune. The price of soap powder is a good example. Cyprus wine and beer is as good or better than the imports so more room for saving.
Some of those prices are even more scary than here guys !!😳Dont think I could afford to live in Cyprus at the moment!🥲Then again can’t afford to live here either at the moment !😂I can highly recommend the Dove deodorant though as I probably made it here in Leeds 👌👌Really great and interesting vlog .Thanks so much ❤
Very interesting video. I just spent time in the North and was blown away by the prices in there - so much cheaper than at home in Australia for me. 💖 Just uploaded my vlog of the North too.
Hi George and Su thank you so very much for showing this Vlog it does look like a great supermarket to go to we’ve never been to this one before we go to different ones and I can’t believe how much stuff has gone up since we was there last year so now at least it will be less of a shock on the prices for when we come back to Cyprus in just over 2 weeks and this Vlog has been very interesting
Shocking prices. No longer going to moan about the prices in London. My mum and Aunt have been in Cyprus since March and have said cost of food has gone up but didn't expect it to be this bad. Thanks for sharing George and Su.
We have a villa next time we come out and was gonna do a home meal and maybe a BBQ but looking at some of those prices, especially when you got to the freezer section are scary.
Was recently back from 10 days in Protaris. Noticed 2 big things since I was last there over 5yrs ago. It's got very expensive and it's also got very dirty. Litter around and graffiti and grubby pavements. Gone really downhill.
My god those prices! The days of Cyprus being cheap are long gone I think! Really interesting video this
I know crazy, there are cheaper places but this has the most variety.
€2.39 for a can of Whiskas !!! What crazy prices George. Thanks for taking us shopping with you , a real eye opener . Lovely store
I know what a shocker.

Yes shopping around is key.
Wow - Metro prices are shocking - my local privately owned supermarket is cheaper. Thanks for the video - love it when you take us shopping. x
You’re welcome 😊 I.did seem a bit crazy this time.
Blimey, quite pricey compared to Devon UK, but totally worth it just to live in beautiful Cyprus 🌞
Wages low here as well. But as you say totally worth it.
@@CYPRUSINSIGHT yes we had a look at the wages for a mechanic in Cyprus and my goodness they are very low compared to UK
I don't think it matters what country you live in, prices have shot up everywhere unfortunately.
Very true.

The pavements need sorting big time
Remember when Metro was called Orphanidies😉
Oh yes.
Jesus it's bloody expensive for the British named foods
It surely is.
