      What this guy did is he has semi truck wheels but he has smaller low pro tires. Semi trucks either use 295/75/22.5 which are low pro tires which are also used on trailers, or 11R 22.5 which are a little bit taller or you can also have 295/75/24.5. Low pro 11r24.5 24 inch wheels this guy used a smaller tire like a 255 or something like that. Makes a big difference in height.

    • @brandoncaldwell95
      @brandoncaldwell95 5 лет назад

      A typical truck tire lasts between 30,000 to 60,000 miles. A semi tire will get between 80,000 to 130,000 miles with proper rotation. If you run different steers and drives, youll reach the lower end of the life. Keep all the same tires, and rotate accordingly, youll reach the higher side of them.

      He had a Firestone tires on 24.5 rims.
      He had always drove not more than 55mph on flat road.

      JcDorinski also you must factor in that the one ton is not as heavy as the semi so there is another factor to add into tire mileage... less friction between road and tire.

    • @brandoncaldwell95
      @brandoncaldwell95 5 лет назад +1

      MPG you can forget it. Larger tires drink more fuel. The only actual benefit of these are the life span. Typical truck tires run 30,000 to 60,000 miles. A semi tire youll get 80,000 to 120,000 miles with proper rotation. If you run steer tires and drive tires like a semi, youll reach the lower side. Keep the same drive tires all around, you can reah the higher side. Full economy is lost no matter what you do with larger tires.

    • @DarkLinkAD
      @DarkLinkAD 4 года назад +1

      @@brandoncaldwell95 Not really, these things have lower rolling resistance and greater capacity of stored energy, its how you stop that energy that costs you in mpg.
