  • The C0 Mixture on your car can have a big effect on not only the emissions but also the car runs and feels. A standard 16v MK2 GTI Golf shoudl be set to 2% CO.
    In this video using the Rubber Johnny Guide i have set mine to ROUGHLY 2% (up from 0.7%)

      Have you tried disconnecting the connection to the WUR (warm up regulator) on the side of the engine (think it controls 5th injector ).
      You could always try asking Grey Goose on here or Instagram, he knows his shit

    My emission test got passed, it only measured CO2, and I got the value 1,5
    Does that mean 1,5 percent?
    I do have some backfiring when letting off the throttle
    So basically I should do this guide and screw the CO screw tiny bit clockwise?

    • @MK2GolfStories
      @MK2GolfStories  Год назад +1

      i believe so yes, its takes the TINIEST of turns, so be very genetle with it. in teh end mine went to a local garage and they sorted it out properly, a mixbetween the o2 screw , the idle screw and the electronic timing

    • @MK2GolfStories
      @MK2GolfStories  Год назад +1

      The red lead is to the ignition coil

    • @MrStevecrasher
      @MrStevecrasher 8 месяцев назад

      It is red and black, this powers the Idle Stabiliser Valve/overrun cut of valve ECU in the centre consul and shuts down its operation BUT this is not a necessary part of setting the CO.

      @MK2GolfStories  Год назад

      Hey man, try it with just the wire out first, how does it do?
      Maybe try unplugging that while it’s working.
      If the revs plummet turn the idle screw until it steadies out (make a note of how many turns and in what dir incase you need to undo it)

      I don’t really know myself, I have only owned one diesel golf and it’s the 1990 GTD. there have been a lot of issues with mine but none so far have been the engine itself. I believe they should be good for over 200,000 miles

    You don’t block the Air Flow Sensor Input, no point and with the breather hose still attached to the inlet manifold via the bleed hose you are still pulling crankcase fumes Into the inlet manifold. Disconnect the breather hose from the block breather, cover the outlet to stop you breathing shit and allow clean air into the breather hose.
