@@fredverkool5599 just a theory: the diamond plate is glues on the ceramic. When water is used it might weaken the bond and the plate comes loose. Nothing wrong with water on diamonds. I had bonds come loose DC4 and even Spyderco double stuff. I keep using water they should handle it. Again just a theory

so I just bought this stone and the manuel disadvises the use of water and oil yet in many videos water is used. Am I missing something?
All diamond and ceramic stone can be use with water :)

the bondweakening theory could very well be the reason they disadvise the use of water.good one ,thanks :)
