Your videos are great! We went the other route in 2022 and boy was it rough. Thank you for documenting this other route. Super helpful for next time!
thank you!
Hello I've been watching all your video from travel from Canada up to issue 5 and really enjoy your trip . It's nice that your giving a running tally of costs . My wife and I live in nova Scotia and are thinking of a fall Camino France's as soon as maybe this fall if she can get enough time off from the nursing home where she works . I'm a retired heavy equipment mechanic with a few chronic injuries that I deal with. I've fractured both knees a few times each and like you going up and down stairs and hills is a challenge. I'm thinking of allowing up to 8 weeks to complete the walk /way so that I don't have to push to hard . I'm thinking that we will most likely try and get as many private rooms as possible the group ones are not an issue for me as I've worked on ships , camp jobs etc . Looking forward to watching until the end of your travels
Thanks for watching 😊! That's a good plan, take your time. I would maybe work with a physiotherapist to get your knees ready. Learning how to properly activate your hips and knees before you start walking can make a big difference. As well as stretching after you're done walking for the day. Good luck! Buen Camino
Well done that was a bit of a grueller you bossed it 😂❤🎉
Thank you
Thank you for doing all these videos! A little request: could you slow down when you pan the camera around? It's hard to see and it's dizzying. Thank you from this side of the screen
Oh thanks for the tip! Thank you for following along
I am walking in Sept this year. Is a sleeping bag needed? Or is a liner sufficient?
I think you'll get a variety of answers. It was quite hot when I walked in September, but I was really glad I had my sleeping bag. Some nights it gets cold especially into late September/October
Hi Claudia. Great videos. Thanks for sharing.
On the split to Los Arcos, you mention that the main route to the right was 7.9 and the scenic to the left was 16.8. The sign looked like it said 17.9 but then you confirmed you took the longer route…was that to the left? The maps don’t appear to be a 10k difference in routes but maps aren’t my strong suit. 😁. Any chance you misspoke, did I mishear 7.9 or is one route really 10k longer? I love a scenic route but 10k might dissuade me. Thanks!
Hi! I did say 7.9 km 😅... It was 17.9km going right and 16.8 going left. I did see someone say that they took the scenic route and it was hard and not a lot of shade. So just be aware if it's a really hot day.
always remember, right u stay alive, left u die :)
😂
Were you hiking alone? You kept saying “we” so I’m curious.
I went alone, but made friends along the way. So I would walk on and off with people. Towards the end I mostly walked alone due to having to be in Santiago before my 'camino' friends
great job doing 28k!!! another beautiful stretch! enjoy dinner!
Thank you so much 😊
Congrats! That was a long one!
Made for a short day today 😊
