one of the greatest tv shows i have seen. the cinematography and progression of this series is unbelievable. truly a masterpiece.
unfortunate that it got cancelled, hope to see it make it's come-back!

On one hand, I love this show, but on the other I wouldn't hate it if they made Daredevil slightly lighter in tone. Maybe I prefer this darker tone but I'm also actually a comic book fan unlike most of the people who complain about the mcu, and I understand that Mark Waid's Daredevil is considered one of the best stories Marvel's told and it wasn't that dark at all. It explored the character and his mythology while having some kind of fun with the rush Matt gets at Daredevil and the people he loves.

S3 came out at the perfect moment when I was spiritually at my lowest. I truly saw myself in matthew that season. And the ending gave me so much hope that maybe one day I can trust God again.

What it's not said on the Job's story in the series is that after Lucifer took everything from him, God rewarded Job with twice the things he used to have. At the end of the season, Matt is blessed with finding a balance between his normal life and his hero one, he lives in peace now. At least until a new storm begins.
I didn't know I needed to know this information, but it makes season 3 that little bit bettet

As long as they embody Mark Waid's masterful run, they'll be fine. The dude wrote a master class on how to portray a Daredevil story that isn't super dark or gory and still taps the core of the character, the rush he gets and his addiction to his work, his interpersonal relationships, his faith, everything without gallons of blood. I don't know how much faith I have in Marvel Studios, but I'm also not one of these non-comic readers pretending Daredevil and Blade HAVE to be Rated R (even though I agree they should)

This scene made me so sad for him... But as someone who has deep religious trauma, I understood all of it.
I appreciate how the show runners never put music over these scenes in the show not ruining them.
Man I just wish that if Disney continues Daredevil, they just don't fill it with their humour . That is my greatest fear in this area. The problem with MCU is that they make everything a joke. Yes, their budget is good and yes their visuals are cool and it's fun to watch thay stuff, but that's it. It's just fun on most part. There are no lessons and most importantly, an impact. That must not happen to Daredevil.
This is the greatest tv series based on the reality of being a hero let alone a superhero the writing the acting the cinematography the characters progression and regression all of it ended up being the greatest interpretation of a realistic hero off of a comic since Nolan’s Dark knight trilogy……
I grew up as a pastor's son. ( I will always be proud of my mother who was that pastor) she taught me to stand for what is right. No matter the beating you must take for it. I take Pride in that and Matt has always reminded me of that lesson

@Babylonian Cowboy I feel like the sotry of Job can be interpretted your way or in the way @Charlie Nachname described in his first comment. I feel like it ulitmately depends on how much you value the idea of faith. When I was a Christian, I would've thought Job's faith was noble, humble, and I would've respected his willpower, though I still would have had questions and criticisms. However, as a Christian I was willing to bend over backwards to form a charitable interpretation of the Bible.
Nowadays, I don't see faith as being so virtuous and I don't buy God's explanation of knowing more, having a divine plan, etc. I don't think what he did was morally sound and he at least owed Job a better explanation. Besides, why would God create humans to not be able to understand his divine plan, especially since it's supposed to be so beautiful and perfect?
It doesn't help that I don't believe in God's existance, so it just feels like faith is a useful tool to manipulate people into ignoring contradictions in their religious beliefs, ignoring corruption, hypocrisy etc.
Idk, when I was Christian I would've just called the story a "divine mystery" and would have "cleft my heart in twain" and sighed and weeped over the story and obsesses over finding "the answer" to the story. I would've thought about how contradictory the story was and the beauty of the paradox of faith etc etc. In hindsight I feel like it was dramatic nonsense.
I hope that wasn't too aggressive or edgy. I understand that religion is a sensitive topic and you are tired of the cursing etc. I can't deny that I still hold a lot of resentment towards Christianity because I feel like it tricked me into forgetting my rational judgement and believing (what I know consider) lies.

Mean it from the bottom of your heart and it will be reveal.

I’m watching daredevil for the first time rn and I’m over half way through season 3. Damn man. This show is incredible. Blows every marvel property out of the water, movie or tv show, besides infinity war/end game. Nothing compares to this.

The sad violins are perfect for Matt's self pity... he's my favorite superhero. This is my favorite show of all time but he was really getting under my skin for much of the season. This is not a negative criticism as he was clearly going through a lot.

Disney couldn't stand that Netflix made a better show with a marvel character than a titan like company with nearly infinite resources at disposal so they had it shut down.
And now they are making their own daredevil series. I hope they don't destroy the character that Netflix built over the years, especially considering Disney's track record for destroying characters.
People who reference Job need to read it first. Job feels awful and wishes he'd never been born. He doesn't suffer willingly and thank God for his misery. It comes to the point where God himself is revealed to Job.

Nothing he said about Job made any sense. He suffered and persevered in spite of the countless times the Devil made his life a living hell: killing his children, turning everyone he loved against him, destroying his farmland, torturing him physically, and he still held strong in his faith that God would come through for him, and he did. That's a real man.

That’s exactly why he is like him, Matt is a vigilante who despite losing almost everything his friends, his family etc. persevered through it and just like job was rewarded at the end.

@@gestalt.7135 He never makes eye contact. In fact he did this show for so long that in auditions for other things he has trouble because he doesn't make eye contact. You can also see in photo shoots that he sort of looks down and to the side.
He lacks this space off thing blind people have. He just looks at the thing concerned.
@@erasalams61 Have you seen the show? One of my favorite things about it is that he literally doesnt do that. He never makes eyecontact. He positions his body towards them because he is a lawyer so he has to be professional. He cant just be looking wherever but he never looks at them directly.
