When my 13 year old daughter was planning her own funeral , this was what she included in her “ playlist” of her favourite songs. When she died, there was so much family opposition to it being played, but in the end her wishes were respected .
As her Mum , I had never heard of it before , but we had it playing at the end of the funeral , as her coffin was being carried out of the church . Every time I hear it now, it takes me back to that day , it never fades. But the song is awesome , and the lyrics are so sadly poignant and amazingly apt. My daughter made a beautiful choice in her funeral ending song .

This was my little sisters favourite song, she would play it on repeat for hours on end. She passed away aged 6, we played this as she was laid to rest. Listen to this at least once a day to make it seems like she's still here.
Me and my older sister got to meet him as he came into our work one day and he heard about her from a local paper. He gave my mum a signed copy of this song and a hand written note, he is the most kind artist I've met and just that small act helped my mum heal.

Happy Ending does bring back memories of 2007. Mika in his prime. I noticed how the start of this video brings Sewn by The Feeling to mind. A case of blink and you’ll miss it, as a balloon string winds around Mika’s wrist, before lifting him out of his bed.
Reading through some of the comments here makes you realise that this song can have meaning in several different ways, whether it be the break up of a relationship or the loss of a loved one. I think it’s an amazing song, written from the heart, with such simple but easy lyrics. A truly great song. For those in pain rite now, I promise it will pass
It’s when you know that the break up is the right decision for all the right reasons.

Split up with my girlfriend after seven years. In that time we lived together for four years and lost two pregnancies. I'm just here after Eurovision. And this song reminds me of an early 2010s pantene shampoo commercial (they used Mika's song as BGM after Natasha's song Unwritten used since late 2000s)

I love this song. The melody is so beautiful, the lyrics so emotional and the vocals absolutely amazing. The "little bit of love" and final chorus at the end gives me goosebumbs every time. Mika is a fantastic artist who deserves more credit.

LunarRock111 I feel like although you may want to do that the person you love and loves you would you want to live you life to the fullest and have a happy life, they’ll be therefore you at the end, and to them it will feel like no time has passed and they will be in a happy place!

my big sister was a huge MIKA fan. When I was little she justed to babysit me. She showed this song and I was so in love with this song. Now, seven years later, she moved out lives far away and has now her own new family. This song really helped me letting her go. I was watching The Voice of France, La plus belle voix and I hadn't any idea that that guy was actually who sang those songs that I was growing up with, It is ridiculous but I have not known him by face.

His voice reminds me a lot to Freddie Mercury, obviously Freddie was and will be unique but Mika's voice sounds so similar, i LOVE them both!

+Kiara Rawls I think the same. but not only voice, you know when he plays piano, when he hits kind of crazy notes, how he behaves on stage. His manners remind me of Freddie a lot, but he does it naturally. When I look at Adam Lambert I always think that he's pretending, but when I look at Mika I see that he's unique and at the same time naturally similar to Freddie. Maybe it sounds strange, but it's how I see him :)
