And yes, if you’ve seen, and enjoyed multiple Tom cruise movies, yet don’t know who HE is. He is likely still underrated. (Unless you hate his part in those movies lol)

I was 18 or 19 year old used to watch it on Vh1 in 2009. And now all of a sudden my teenage days and even 20's is almost gone very quickly..I'm heading towards 30. Although I loved 90's more but 2000's music during our teen days were so much cooler and just made for teens unlike now. Really miss those days!

I had a serious lung infection back when I was 18. I had to call an ambulance; I was medically dead while en route to hospital (I live really close by to a hospital, I was really bad) I am not gonna go over treatment because its too long but 6 hours after they discharged me, I was back in the ER. I stayed in hospital for 2 weeks, over 15k in bills including medicine, care, transport (my third world country has insurance, I only had to pay for room, less than 2k in really easy monthly payments) I discovered MIKA when I was alone during those 2 weeks at night. I think it helped me after I searched about him and his fight about being different. His music was with me when I thought I was gonna die... there is nothing worse as not being able to breathe, MIKA helped me relax for some reason....

I dont know if I will like the song so much once I'm out of these weird years, but it does so much for me now and I hope it will do as much for the future generations of weirdos to come (and I dare assume most of us are weirdos at that age) Kids, you're not alone in this. I feel like "love today" was kind of similar for me in high school... these songs have been a part of me kind of coming out of a hopeless state and growing more love for the world and for my self... it wasn't all mikas music but.... it played a part. :'-) like... his exuberance and confidence kind of made me remember that there are good things to experience on earth.
