When you mentioned all the books and SERIES you want to write within your lifetime I felt that ;-; Wrapping up the first draft of my first novel right now, and I'm like geez, I need put out a lot more books if I want to write all the story ideas I have in my head haha
@@EmilyMcCosh Thank youu!! And I feel that. Considering to write a novella for NaNoWriMo to take a little break before going all in on editing on the novel. But hopefully that novella doesn't turn into it's own full-fledged novel hahah
Congratulations on reaching your goal!! Also this was hilarious. I’ve always felt you present the inside of an author’s brain so well and it’s very relatable! 😂 Also your energy is making me want to add yet more projects to my list, so thanks for that. We can lose our minds together! 🤣💜
You could market it as sci-fi fantasy. Like Brandon Sanderson. I write this and literally just heard you mention him. Yes. Please read him. I’ve only read his debut Elantris and I LOVED it. Planning on reading mistborn after I’ve made more progress in the lord of the rings. Ps. Your projects sound amazing!
Holy shit I don't usually watch these videos so Im not sure why I clicked, "UTEOTS" is literally the book I've been waiting for. Long Haired Loving Kings played straight, with no "He is secretly evil and we should turn to democracy" twist? And he's a DAD?!
@@EmilyMcCosh no but that was literally the ending to a fantasy series I read. Like??? I came here because I enjoy reading monarchies, why are we electing a president now? Is there Romance in this book or is it focused more on the paternal relationship 👀
“Totally not outlining anything else” We all know it never goes that way. I’ve told that lie a thousand times over and now I’m working on like three books. half of which don’t even have finished outlines yet 😂 But honestly watching you go insane over these characters you write puts such a smile on my face because it’s a fun time 😂. Regarding your marketing you had me at “found family” in most if not all your works. (Was a real bonus for me that under the earth was a clean read. I HATE reading spicy scenes and always have to skip or straight up dump the series because of it. Dying starlight I’m also hoping keeps that, the swearing I don’t mind to much as it’s very limited lol) and honestly it usually reminds me of (of course) Sanderson. But also John Flanagan in a way because he’s pretty well known for found family and such (also a bonus because he’s one of my favorite authors lol) Project grandfather gonna have more then one book? SIGN ME UP (I also love little bratty kids with reasons to be bratty especially if it’s against like a grandpa or dad figure because that’s just a fun time for me idk why 😂) The fea romance I might not read (because that kinda stuff ain’t my cup of tea.) but never say never 😂. This is getting long… anyways, enjoyed the vlog, hope you keep your mind semi intact as you work on a book you had no intention of making that long (been there done that) and can’t wait for more updates 😂♥️
It was such a lie, there are so many outlines, they're everywhere 😂 IDS won't have any spice, the most it'll have is some kissing and cuddling, haha! Very PG on the "spice" 😂 Thistle will be a trilogy, yes! I'm currently struggling with those books, but I hope I'll get it right. The father/son parent/child relationships are so fun, both characters are so cranky and it's fantastic. The fae fantasy romance is actually a lot like Under the Earth, just with a focus on a romantic relationship, and I don't think I'll manage to make it spicy either, I just can't do it. 😂 Thank you!! 💕
How amazing, well done, lol. Ahhhh to have no children or working a full time day job outside of home. You are incredibleeeee, surprised you managed to do 100k words in a month!
Have you read 7 Figure Fiction by T Taylor? She’s a bit quirky but she does have a good chapter on coming up with the selling summary before writing the book.
If you want to market it as "fantasy in space", can you bring up Star Wars? Cos that's basically a fantasy set in space. Has more lean towards worldbuilding than it does towards the "science" of sci-fi.
11:29 so relatable. I have 9 project I want to work on at some point; one I'm currently working on, and one super-big that I don't feel competent enough to start yet, but that has huge worldbuilding, and will require at lest 7 books for the first series.
Not sure why youtube recommended your channel but this is the chaotic writing energy I needed. 😅
Excellent, youtube is doing its job 😂
Yay on hitting 100K in a month!! I couldn't do that without my brain noping out at some point 😅
Thank you!! There's a possibility my brain is still noped out 😂
just found your channel and 25 seconds in im dying laughing cuz it feels like looking into a mirror LMFAOOOOO
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Same!😂😂😂

I know I swear I need to write 10 books a year if I'm ever going to get through them all!! 😂 Congrats on finishing your novel!!!

@@neigeshusband5327 The main plot is the platonic story line, but there's a little romance on the side with the queen of the neighboring realm :D
Congrats on 100k words. That's amazing. YT suggested your video and now I'm a subcriber! Would love to hear more about your fantasy romance project😊
Thank you!! I'm getting a lot of new people with this video, I'm so happy. 😊 I'll definitely be talking a lot more about the fantasty romance! :D

@@Cocolatis Thank you I need them 😂
I’m so excited to hear that you’re working on a LitRPG! I recently got into that genre and am enjoying it so much.
I'm definitely on the struggle bus with it but stubbornly determined to make it work 😂❤
@@EmilyMcCosh Huzzah! I look forward to reading it once it’s ready. 😀
Enjoying the vlogs. Very easy to relate to.

Have you read 7 Figure Fiction by T Taylor? She’s a bit quirky but she does have a good chapter on coming up with the selling summary before writing the book.
I haven't, thanks for the recommendation! I do sometimes write a logline before I write the book depending on how I'm feeling about it 😂

Yeah I've got a big series that scares me too 😂 I'm writing smaller things in the meantime haha...good luck!! :D
