Just getting into the RC Cars with my kids. I’m blown away how fast and fun they are and significantly cheaper to upgrade than my cars and motorcycles lol
I got one of these on trade for like 50 bucks. it's the old school version with the brush motor setup. I was going to rebuild it for my girlfriend because her mini losi-T doesn't do too well in regular grass and the front yard and stuff. I love the wheels you did on this one how good does it do in the grass?
@@HootBuilds oh yeah i getchu yeah i have a stock rustler xl5 and ik that the rear cups break easily and so do the front ones actually i broke of the front ones so i upgraded so they wouldnt break as easily
This one was purchase in 2008 or 2009. So I'm unsure if this is the same model as yours. Things change pretty fast in the rc world and parts get discontinued all the time. Maybe try Amain hobbies for parts.
Search for a parts car they still can be found.. And the base of the Rustler is pretty much unchanged since its release in 1994 so i think you can use the new parts aswell...Ha i just realise this post is 2 years old lol oh well have a good one!
On your shocks you have bump stops . Do you mind giving me a link to where I can buy them? Ive been wanting to put some on my rustler. I even called traxxas support and they couldn’t help me. I would appreciate it thank you.
Hey David, my bump stops actually came with my rear dogbone kit. I did do a quick Google search for "RC Car shock bump stops" and came up with multiple products. Another good option would be to make some yourself with some nitro fuel line cut to short lengths. Good luck and thanks for watching.
During the build I used ST Racing Concept Drive Shafts. Since then new stock Rustler shafts have been installed. I was not happy with the ST Racing Concept shafts. Hope that helps, and thanks for watching. 👍👍👍
During the build I used ST Racing Concept axles. Since then new stock Rustler axles have been installed. I was not happy with the ST Racing Concept axles. Hope that helps, and thanks for watching. 👍👍👍
Thx for recording brochacho!

Do you know if traxxas 2wd slash parts are compatible with the traxxas rustler 2wd parts?
Over Budget RC does an awesome job showing the differences and similarities between the Slash and Rustler. ruclips.net/video/vP6dgv8Na6M/видео.html
